Porn Valley- I spoke to Brooke Haven on the set of Mitch Spinelli’s Jam It Up My Ass 2. I tell Haven I’m seeing Jenna comparisons. “Keep that up and you’re never getting rid of me,” she laughs. “From the first time you interviewed I think I’ve lost between seven to ten pounds. I took those extensions out and colored my hair. I’m getting my teeth worked on. So when I get my veneers I’ll probably get a different look.”
Haven said she was reading the interview we first did not too long ago www.adultfyi.com/read.aspx?ID=8043. “There was something in there that made me giggle.” I suspected it was my sly references to the Brookehaven Mall in Philadelphia.
“And there’s an insane asylum in England,” Haven adds. “And if you Google Brooke Haven, this place in Connecticut comes up- all these houses and developments.”Asked what’s new, Haven is with www.ladirectmodels and says she and Lexi Marie are on the road dancing together. “We’re going to Philadelphia Wednesday for a week. Then she has one on her own in Van Nuys and I’ll be in Oxnard by myself. Then we have a gig together in Sacramento. And I’ve had the same boyfriend for almost a year. And I’m getting a new girlfriend or two. Who knows?”
Haven also bought a new car, a Mercedes. “And I’m looking into buying a new house. I’m starting my own company and paid all my back taxes for the past four years.” For now Haven is doing nothing with the company. “It’s for tax purposes,” she says. “Maybe after I’ve been in the business for two or three years and getting to know people more maybe I’ll start shooting. That’s my long term plan.”
According to Haven, this will be the first time that she’s featured out of town. “Just around L.A. So this will be our first time. I’m really looking forward to it.” This will also be Haven’s first time in Philadelphia. She believes her gig is at the Spearmint Rhino but don’t quote her on it. “We’re doing six shows. We’re dancing the 18th, 19th and 20th. Then I’ll get home on the 21st. Then Derek, Lexi and I will be go to Vegas for the Dancers convention.” Haven went to the convention last year as a spectator. “This is my first year doing anything. I like doing all that stuff, talking to the press, doing interviews. I’m kind of an attention whore. But you would never guess.”
Haven threw Derek at Direct Models a surprise birthday party. “People at The W are anti-party,” she says. “The tried to tell us we could only have four people for the room. And that wasn’t going to happen. We had 20 people come in. They had the whole place roped off. They stopped you at the front door, the elevator, the bar. The bar had a private party that was closed to the public. It was just a mess. I spent $600 to have the biggest suite and they expected me to have four people only. But it ended up being perfect. Everything worked out great in the end. We had a great time. We didn’t get any sleep whatsoever. But it was really fun. We had a lot of good people show up.”
Things are great so far says Haven but doesn’t know if she’ll be continuing with roommates when she gets her house. “But Lexi almost burned down my porch the other day.” Haven explains that she currently lives in a townhouse. “She was smoking and we keep a plastic cup out there to put the cigarettes out in because I don’t smoke in my house. I was gone for the day and she was getting to ready to leave. She hadn’t been home for a week and the cup had dried out. There was no water in it and she just threw her cigarette in it with the other butts and went to go to work. Cassie who’s the agent at Direct Models is my neighbor as well- I guess she heard the fire alarm going off. She looked out and my balcony was in flames. The fire dept. had to come chop it down. That was an exciting experience and she’s no longer allowed to smoke at all- a 100 feet from my apartment.”
I tell Haven they cut your head off in Iraq for such infractions. “Vivid might sue me for that,” Haven laughs. “She [Lexi] is their property right now.” I wonder if Haven would, too, sign a contract if offered one.
“It depends,” says Haven. “There would have to be a lot of conversation about what’s going to go on, what I’m going to on, what they’re going to own. Because I don’t want it to end up where I’m not going to own anything and I get screwed. I don’t want that to happen to me. If I do sign a contract I want to be in the business a couple of years, first and then save some money- put it away so I can take a year and only sign for a year and let them market me. But have enough money to live on because I think I make way more right now on my own. But it would be great to have a big name behind me. Because I think there’s so many gonzo girls that it almost feels like you’re a little ant with millions of other ants. It’s hard to get you name out there if you’re not with a big company behind you. I think I would be a good contract girl because I’m responsible. I’m always on my shoots on time. I got my head on. I’m not on drugs. I save my money.”
Haven laughs about having a bad hair day. “That’s what happens when you party the whole weekend- I made sure I took Saturday and Sunday off so I could party Friday night and Saturday night. Today I’m getting back to work.”
I ask Haven, 26, if she’s kept out of trouble and avoided fattening up her arrest record. Haven says she tries to stay out of trouble. “The only thing I did was when I was younger, probably 18, 19. I screwed up my bank account really bad. I wrote bad checks and screwed up my credit. I worked really hard on getting it back up there. But the hard work’s paid off. Once you get your credit up to where you wan it to be, it feels like a whole new freedom. You can buy anything, rent anything.”
Asked what kind of advice she’d give to a new girl in the business, Haven said be with Direct Models. “They’re treated me really good and not just because I’m partial to Derek. Everybody in the office is right on track. They take care of everything. And I would say go slow. Don’t think like I’m doing everything and everybody. You need to pace yourself, be careful who you’re working with. Reference a little bit. I guess I give everybody a chance- as far as boys and girls to work with. I give everybody a first chance. If it works out okay and they’re not attractive, it really doesn’t matter if the scene comes out good. If it doesn’t I’m probably going to go on the no list with it.”
Haven has a no list but it only includes one girl and two guys. Haven is asked what that takes. “The smell of cheese?” she’s asked.
“That’s fixable,” she says. “That’s no big deal. Some of the Frenchman tend to have an odor if they’re not careful. Just spray them and they’re good to go. It’s more how they come off with me- how their attitude is, if they’re easy to work with. If they’re considering what’s going on with me. I’ll tell them I pat you twice you’re going too hard. Slow down. Just be responsible to me as I’m going to be to you. That’s going to make the scene go by easier. If they’re not listening to the director, that’s going to piss me off. The guys are usually the ones in control of the scene. If they’re on top of me and the director’s I want this for two minutes and this for two minutes, and they’re not tuning in, there’s nothing I can do about it. You want to stop the scene- ‘turn over’. It just depends how our chemistry is together. I don’t care about attractiveness.”
I asked Haven if there’s any assholes she’s worked with. She didn’t name a name but later mentioned that Anthony Hardwood was on that list. “I worked with him three times,” she says. “The first time I was pretty new and I thought it went well and he was very sweet. He wasn’t on steroids at the time. Now that she’s on the pills, he’s a whole different person and I can’t work with him. I’ve given him two other chances and it’s turned to crap.” Haven said she’s not attracted to guys with the artificial muscles.
“I like natural muscles and good bodies,” she says. “I don’t like it when they’re so huge they can’t put their arms down all the way. You’re trying to straddle them and you can’t because they’re so massive. It makes it difficult. And I’m attracted to most girls. But if I hear of a girl who’s sleeping with all kinds of guys off camera, she’ll probably go on my no list, too. Nobody’s going to watch out for my health but me.”
I imagine being with Direct Models, she hears all the shit going down. “I hear it all,” Haven laughs. “It’s crazy some of the stuff that goes on. I get amazed when talents out partying all night and they’re not going to bed until six in the morning and have a scene at nine. I would not be able to do that. I’ve been there. I’ve done that but not in the industry. I partied a lot when I was younger and I remember the hangovers. I remember how dehydrated you re and struggling. I don’t want to be at work like that. That’s going to make it miserable. I wouldn’t enjoy myself. I’d rather come to work fresh.
Haven is asked what measures she took to transform her body. “I stopped eating bread- that’s the biggest thing,” she says. “I used to eat a ton of bread all the time. I’d go to the store and get a loaf of French bread and butter and just eat it. And it’ll just plump you out. As soon as you cut that out, that’ll drop some water weight. Then I started doing cardio.
“Right now my addiction’s cheese. I’ll never get over that. I have to have it on everything.”
Haven loves Pepper Jack cheese. “If you want to get on my yes list, it’s Pepper Jack cheese,” she laughs. “Just bring it to the shoot.”
