from www.blog.cleveland.com – Jayda Diamonde is already a star. But as the classic disco song by Andrea True goes, she wants ‘More, More, More!’

For the past five years, Diamonde’s fan base in the adult film world has grown by leaps and bounds. She’s now in the process of making her name known among mainstream moviegoers by accepting a role in the indie feature film ‘Boot Tracks,’ directed by David Jacobson (‘Down in the Valley’, ‘Dahmer’) and shot right here in Cleveland over the past few months, starring Stephen Dorff, Michelle Monaghan and Willem Dafoe.

‘Boot Tracks,’ is a thriller about a recently-released convict named Charlie Rankin (played by Dorff) who is seeking vengeance for his jail-house mentor, William “The Buddha “ Pettigrew (Dafoe) and the people he encounters along the way, including the ethereal, yet streetwise Florence Jane (Monaghan). The film is based on the novel of the same name by Matthew F. Jones. This is Diamonde’s first foray into mainstream film, and she finds the process vastly different than that on the set of adult films.

“This whole experience has been really exciting; it’s great to see how everything works. I get to interact with the principal cast.”

Madeleine Molyneaux, co-producer on ‘Boot Tracks,’ had hoped the role of the adult film star could be cast from local talent, but at a certain point “pretty much thought we’d have to bring in someone from Los Angeles. We received an e-mail from Jayda in April. I was initially taken with her headshot, but once I read in her e-mail that she’s an adult movie star who has done over 50 movies and lives in Ohio, why, that was even better! David, the film’s director, and I met with Jayda and knew instantly that she was perfect for the part.”

Diamonde splits her time between residences in Ohio and Florida.

Besides a handful of television commercials for a Seattle-based company, Diamonde’s claim to fame is largely due to the power of the Internet. In 2010, she was the top-earning web chat host on Streamate, and she starred in 3 hugely successful DVDs produced by video powerhouse Evil Angel Video, landing her among the top 15 adult film stars at HotMovies. In addition, she was Evil Angel’s poster girl for July 2010. Diamonde has also signed on to film 4 new DVDs, the first of which will be released later this year.

Now, Hollywood is calling.

Although Diamonde’s primary role in ‘Boot Tracks’ isn’t exactly a stretch for her – playing an adult movie nun in ‘Nasty Habit,’ a fictitious adult film within the film – she also plays two other characters in the film, which are both ‘mysterious blondes.’

She feels her contribution to ‘Boot Tracks’ as a whole has somewhat of a Hitchcockian feel, since her characters are so elusive.

“I definitely want to do more mainstream stuff in the future,” says Diamonde.

Landing roles in mainstream fare is a current trend among adult film performers. Towards the end of last year’s season of ‘Entourage,’ Sasha Grey played herself as a love interest for Adrien Grenier’s character, Vinny Chase. Also, adult performer Raven Alexis had a small role in a recent episode of Adult Swim’s ‘Children’s Hospital.’

“Sasha Grey kicked the door open, crossing over to mainstream with her recurring role on HBO’s ‘Entourage.’ I’m hoping this role will allow me to kick the door open a little wider.”

‘Boot Tracks’ wrapped shooting in Cleveland in early August. An official release date has yet to be finalized.
