Porn Valley- So Taylor Rain, manning the company car- which is a pretty scary thought- takes me to lunch. And Rain thinks it’s hilarious that our waiter’s name is Jesus. I know Rain is dying to yell out in the restaurant, yo Jesus.

Rain likes this place we’re at. She’s been here maybe four times. “They seem like normal, regular people,” she states. “Like what’s up with that?”

Rain orders these giant breaded zucchinis and some other artichoke appetizer. Like no way I’m saying to myself is she going to finish this. Rain says, yeah, her eyes are definitely bigger than her belly. Makes her confession to Jesus that she’s a glutton. Asks Jesus for forgiveness. Jesus shrugs his shoulders and gives her the bill.

During the zucchini portion of the afternoon, Rain’s www.adultfyi.com/read.aspx?ID=10480 explaining the fact that she’s shooting this anal creampie movie for Torrid Entertainment in the next couple of weeks and wants to get it done before her birthday on the 16th. After that she’s going on a cruise with her boyfriend, Anthony, to celebrate their year anniversary.

“I met him through a friend around my birthday last year,” Rain explains. “We’re going on an anniversary cruise.”

Rain says she’s been seeing this guy off and on. “We’ve been friends, more so.” According to Rain, Anthony’s a civilian but he’s okay with her being in the business. “He’s okay with it, actually- more than other guys would be. My ex husband, Eddie, was way more understanding than anybody.”

Rain qualifies the comment to say that Eddie was understanding but he didn’t have to be that understanding about porn because Rain wasn’t in the porn business yet. Eddie was just a roll with the punches, go with the flow kind of guy.

“I was a normal girl,” Rain says. This is a bold statement, even for Taylor Rain. But Rain seems to be amending her comments about Anthony as she speaks. “Anthony doesn’t want to hear shit. I say one bad thing…but I shouldn’t be talking a whole bunch of crap.”

Rain met Anthony through the girl, Michelle, who’s dating her ex-husband Eddie. “She was friends with Anthony,” Rain explains. “I went to a friend’s house- some mansion in Calabasas. We partied there all last year, drinking and smoking. Then on my birthday last year- we hadn’t fucked yet- he rolled everybody a joint, like 20 joints. And we all smoked it right at midnight. He’s completely a sweetheart and genuinely a great guy. His mom and his two sisters raised him pretty much.”

I tell Rain I want to know more about this mysterious Eddie, her first husband. Rain dated him when she was 18 after she got out of high school. “We were AFTER high school sweethearts,” she says. “We were together for four and a half years, but I’ve known him about seven. We are no longer speaking, though because he’s dating one of my ex best friends. It’s kind of like whatever.”

Rain and Eddie got it on the first night they met. Rain was going to Knots Berry Farm with one of her girlfriends, Jennifer from work. “We met up with Eddie,” she explains. “Jennifer was dating him. I wanted to smoke weed and have a couple of drinks. So we went back to his hotel where he was at. Jennifer got too drunk and we took her home. She was too drunk to drive. Eddie drove her car home. I drove Eddie’s truck to her house. So we roll up to her house- I’m driving his truck.”

Rain has her own car, a ’65 Mustang, and how she gets back to it is unclear in the story, but she’s describing how she’s de-fogging the windows.

“Eddie came out and said, hey, come back to my house. So he lives with his grandma, his dad and his sister. This is like 3, 4 in the morning. We go back to the guest house, and sure enough, Jennifer, who obviously wasn’t too drunk to drive, drove to his house and caused a whole bunch of drama. Then on top of that, I worked with her so I was being the slut by going back to Eddie’s place. She’s going all crazy and he kind of kicked her out. Everybody in the house woke up and I met his whole family that way. Me being the whore. Next day I had to go to work and Jennifer was there. She worked the morning shift and when I got there, her whole family was there, like shopping there. It was a regular family produce store. There was drama and I caused it. Me and Eddie did but that’s how we met.”

Asked if she and Eddie got it on that night, Rain said, yeah, when Jennifer left. “It was on after that- fuck her. She caused all that drama. I was going to put out. He had to deal with a lot of shit. That was very nice of me.”

According to Rain, when she met Eddie, he was planning to move out of state to Utah, both for a new job and to grow weed with his friends. She had only known him for a week.

“I said I want to come. So he went out there for three weeks then came back to pick me up. I moved to Utah with him. I wanted to give it a whirl. My parents did not like that at all. But Eddie totally took care of me.” Rain says her father, who owns a machine shop, was particularly pissed about the whole thing especially since there was weed growing equipment in the truck. Rain’s mother is a real estate agent. But Rain says she’s always managed to take care of herself.

Rain, who was 18 at the time, said there was basically nothing to do in Utah. “But we loved each other. He went to work, shit like that.” Rain’s parents are asking her what she saw in Eddie. “They really didn’t know him. But because I took myself away from them, that pissed them off. So we got married pretty much after that.”

By the time Rain was 20, she and Eddie went to Vegas to get married. “His family came out with us, and Eddie called both my parents- hey, we’re getting married tomorrow, if you want to show up you can show up. My mom didn’t but my dad did.”

Eddie and Rain then moved out to LA together but came to an agreement afterwards that they should separate for awhile. “We were separated for a year,” she says. “Then we got back off and on. Finally I said this guy’s a loser. Or, he never matured.” I do point out to Rain that she managed to marry the guy.

“I know,” she says. “He did take care of me at some point in our relationship. We both had two jobs.” Rain says her family grew to like Eddie, that is, until he hooked up with one of her best friends. “He’s kind of a scumbag, now. So my parents are, like, whatever.” Rain no longer talks to the guy.

Where work is concerned, you have to keep the distinctions straight. Rain performs for Defiance Films, whereas she directs but doesn’t perform for sister company Torrid Entertainment. And after a couple of bong loads she runs www.lukeford.com. Rain explains how she pretty much won it in a bet from Scott Fayner involving her dog and the fact that she hasn’t killed him by now. Rain’s laughing about a call she got the other night from Fayner telling her about some hate mate he got, wondering if he could post it on the site. “I was sleeping and I said read it to me real quick. It was four different people. I think he put up two- the other two were so harsh. He was, like, geez, people really hate me. Whatever. This is fun and I’m doing this for right now.” Rain says the mail she gets is all good.

“I’ve been getting awesome messages from everyone saying this is going to rule,” continues Rain, “that it’s getting better and better by the day that I own it. It’s supposed to be about porn gossip so I’m going to try doing interviews, like what you’re doing here. I’m going to try. I really am. I think they’ll be funny for me to interview some other chick and some guys, whatever. Scott is more the gossip guy and I leave it to him. I don’t want to take a story from him because he finds out all the gossip. He bebops everywhere, does stuff and meets up with a lot of people. That’s more his part in this whole thing. Then, of course, I’ll write about my life and stuff that comes up with Defiance.” Which prompts a question or two about Rain’s deal with them.

“I’m going to be pretty much doing two movies a month for Defiance,” she states. “Then with Torrid- it’s all female directors. It’s me, Lauren Phoenix and Shy Love.”

Asked why she selected Defiance, Rain is saying that she never really wanted to be under contract. There was an informal deal in place with Astrux where she’d be their spokesmodel, but Rain says it all came down to money, and the fact that she didn’t get any of it. What boiled Rain was the fact that she was in Las Vegas a few months ago at a prize fight with Astrux and saw a lot of money, a LOT of money being wagered on this one prize fighter but none seemed to be coming her way. Rain and the company had a falling out after that. Another reason that Rain was dead set against contracts was the idea that her name would be taken away and owned by someone else.

“I think I’ve been able to promote myself very well,” she says. “But Defiance is very laid back- we’re going to do this, fuck everybody. I like that attitude.” Rain’s deal with Defiance is an exclusive. She gets an office and a company car, too boot. She says Keith O’Connor over at Defiance treats her very well. Rain said she almost signed a deal with Nectar a few months back. “It wasn’t like things fell through,” she says. “Nothing ever went through. It was talking. A lot of people talk. But I’m very happy with what went down. I don’t regret signing this contract at all. I think everything will be good from now on. Keith is like my second dad. He’s very nice, very fair.”

Rain mentions that she’ll be on Cytherea’s show on KSEX Thursday night talking more about her Defiance deal. Asked how Anthony reacts to all this, Rain says he’s happy, now. “Because I’m never going to be working,” she laughs. “He can fuck me more. I’m not saying I did this for him but he really got me to sign the contract. I know that was affecting our relationship because he couldn’t fuck me some times. I’d be sore for a couple of days and he’d get livid. Now we’re able to bypass all that and be happy again.”

Rain mentions that she originally met O’Connor at Metro. “I met him when I was with Lenny and Phil from Astrux. After I met Keith, he got me a lot of jobs there. And now he’s still doing good stuff for me. He’s always looking out for me. I don’t know why.”

Because Rain brought the subject up, I ask her who in the business she’d like to interview. “There’s so many girls, you really can’t say,” she replies. “Jenna Jameson? But I think Katja Kassin is an outstanding performer. I think she’s great- like a badass German chick. I think she’s really cool. I really like her. I booked her when I did a movie for Nectar and then she did Ski Bitches for me. She did a wonderful job and it’s only a jerkoff movie. And I’m going to book her for my next movie, too. She has a really great attitude. She gets the job done and is all around a great chick.”

Rain being the nice, all around great chick herself, I ask if she’s ever had any industry drama. “Brittaney Skye was one of them,” says Rain. “A long time ago she said some bullshit. She told rumors how I made her do this and that- that I made her got to Vegas and fuck eight dudes without any condoms. That’s not me. I would never ask anyone to do that in a million years.” Rain says this was a bachelor party. “I would never ask anyone to do that. Straight up. Then she said she drove with me. At the time I had a two-seater T Bird. Whatever. Then she was really jealous of me. Straight up. My life and stuff. Then I heard more rumors and drama. I was, like, fuck this bitch. Why is she trying to ruin my life?”

Rain says she and Skye were friends at one point. “We partied together.”

Rain and Ashley Blue don’t talk, either, as well. “We don’t talk any more because she’s stuck up because she won five AVN awards,” says Rain. “And she does black dudes so she’s not that special. She may have won five AVN awards but she still takes black dick up the ass. She shouldn’t have a big head. We were best friends at one time. She doesn’t need to brag to me. I know who she is. I know what she’s about.”

Rain also had some drama in Florida a few months ago. She was shooting a movie for Phillip Mond and went afoul of Mond’s girlfriend, Gina. “It was supposed to be a five day shoot for me,” Rain explains. “It was a total of a two-week shoot. But I barely made two days. I got fired the second day.” Rain says Gina never did any adult films.

“But this was the first time she was going to do one for this Mond-guy. She’s like, okay, girls, we got to get along. That’s how she started the day. But she was really rude to begin with. She’s a really rude lady. She’s like, ‘I need you guys to get all undressed and go under the lights. I want to see what your bodies look like. Let’s be professional.’ Like she’s really just rude, a rude little bitch. I’ve never said that about anyone in porn but this lady was truly, a mean heartless person. She was like the main superstar in this movie. She’s from New York and Phillip Mond is her sugar daddy, pretty much. He’s a hairy scumbag and was rude himself. She claimed I smoked pot on set all day. I was in that room for five, six hours. While she was fucking here, I was fucking there.

“They had four cameras,” Rain continues. “So we stayed in that room but within that five hours, I had two, three or four breaks. Those breaks I never had any pot. I only had a cigarette in the bathroom. But she was such a douchebag. If I asked could I have a smoke break, she would have killed me. Or she would have thrown me off the set and fired me right there.” According to Rain, what made matters worse was that she had to wear a bug costume all day.

“We were bugs- it was ridiculous. I was like a bumble bee. It was this really weird movie. It was just a butt fucked day,” continues Rain. “Then I get back to my hotel and we [Nick Manning] smoke bowls. Then I get a very bad message from my manager asking me what I did on the set. I said I worked and am at the hotel. He says he heard a whole different story. I heard that you fucked off. She made up this whole bullshit story that I never worked. All this shit. But for some reason I got paid. Why would she pay me if I didn’t work? I can’t wait until the movie comes out. They probably have eight hours of footage on me. If that’s not working, I don’t know what is. Then me and her got into a big tiff. She said I didn’t get fully what I need out of you- you’re just a pothead. She was saying the rudest things I’ve ever heard in my entire life.” Rain said two other girls were fired as well.

“She was nuts,” says Rain. “The lady was just fuckin’ out of her mind. Nick was able to make it through. I don’t know how the motherfucker dealt with her. Even the big investor was like this lady’s so stupid. He was there the whole time watching her be a douchebag.”

Rain said she decided to hang out in Florida anyway and attended some Heat games.

When we get back to Defiance, O’Connor’s asking how was lunch. I tell Keith except for the fact that we barely missed hitting those three trees everything’s fine. O’Connor’s eyes roll craps in his head at the thought of the company car winding up on a tree stump. Kidding I tell him, just kidding. It might have only been two trees that Taylor missed.

Rain is full of factoids this afternoon. I ask her what she generally eats to stay so slim. Salads and appetizers, mostly, she says. “I don’t like to eat too much but I do love steak,” she says. Filet Mignon or New York strip steaks, she says. I’m a prime rib kind of guy I tell her, and Rain starts talking about Lowry’s here in LA. which is the place to go if you want prime rib.

Rain said she loves to cook. “I don’t go out all the time. I’m more of a home person.” Rain’s claiming she is domestic. “I have a house,” she says. I ask her what it’s like now with all the upkeep.

“The maids are coming tomorrow,” she answers, which pretty much settles the issue of domesticity and Taylor Rain.
