First Issue of Von Gutenberg Hits the Stands

The first issue Von Gutenberg hits the streets, January 15, 2010. Straight out of the Bay Area, this magazine not only explores alternative fashion, lifestyles and fashion, but also will be bringing new life back into a scene that has been lacking for some time.

Erik Von Gutenberg is the publisher of this high-end and very edgy publication, and a very celebrated promoter and host of the Von Gutenberg Fetish Balls in San Francisco.

The first issue has in-depth articles and stellar pictorials of Ava Garter, Anastasia Pierce and Penthouse Pet of the Year, Heather Vandeven, who graces the premier issue’s cover.

Fashion-forward companies grace the glossy pages, including unique and utterly extravagant Antiseptic, alternative brand Emile Jerard and Japanese latex designer Atsuko Kudo. Photographer Justice Howard brings classic fairytales to life in an enchanting four-page layout. Fantasy events around the country receive full coverage. And, not to be missed are columns by sexologist Midori and Nurse Laurel of MedicalToys.com. The first issue is jam-packed and will definitely be a collector’s item. Von Gutenberg retails for $19 and is published quarterly.

Von Gutenberg is distributed by RCS Distribution and can be found on Amazon.com, nationwide in Barnes & Noble and newsstands around the country. And, it is already available in Europe.

“I am very excited about Von Gutenberg Magazine and my partnership with Erik,” says RCS Owner, Mike Werner. “There are a lot of magazines out there, but nothing quite like this. I have a feeling the premiere issue is going to sell extraordinarily well. And, we already have thousands of potential retailers interested in carrying Von Gutenberg.”

Entrepreneur, publisher and Von Gutenberg contributor, Erik Von Gutenberg, is also ecstatic about the new publication.

“When people think about fashion, fantasy and lifestyle, I hope the name Von Gutenberg will be the first thing that comes to mind. We have strived for this magazine to be very different and extremely memorable. I’m excited about the first issue and hope it will be well received, but I’m even more excited about the future issues that will have some well known cover models from the music industry along with other alternative and creative names who are famous in every corner of the globe. I would tell you who, but then it wouldn’t be a surprise.”
