Jenna Jameson Calls Porn Industry a Ticking Time Bomb; Says a Union, Safe Sex are the Answers

from www.radaronline.com – The world’s most famous former porn star, Jenna Jameson, is speaking out to RadarOnline.com exclusively to express her outrage and sadness about the news that a male porn star has tested positive for HIV.

“It was like a ticking time bomb before something like this happened,” Jenna exclusively told RadarOnline.com, who admitted to not knowing about the news yet.

RadarOnline.com broke the news that production in the adult film industry ceased on Tuesday when an XXX actor tested positive for the disease, and is connected to scores of the industry’s leading porn stars including Addison Rose and Sasha Grey.

“I’m dumbfounded,” Jameson added.

“The fact is that safe sex is not continuously practiced in the adult film world,” Jenna said. “It’s something that’s left up to the performers and usually the women say yes or no and I think a lot of the women feel pressure to not use condoms because they’re in fear of not getting hired by that company again. It’s very sad and disgusting.”

Jenna said that by owning her own production company she has helped to protect her actors against these dangers.

“By owning my own company I always gave the girls the option,” said Jenna, who is now focusing on her children and mainstream entertainment work. “I always told them that it was better to practice safe sex. Is one movie worth your life?”

A shocked Jenna said the news of the latest porn-related HIV scare is going to have far reaching and long-standing effects.

“It’s incredibly sad for people in the industry and especially for the girls and the families because it’s going to have a ripple effect.

“It’s devastating because they’re going to have to track this back through everybody this person has worked with.”

Jenna hopes that the porn industry will be forced to take permanent action to make sure this doesn’t happen again.

“There’s going to have to be a union put in place and having safe sex is mandatory,” she said. “That’s something that I was working toward.”
