Atlanta- About eight months ago, Nicole Probert [pictured] and Lisa Taylor [aka Melissa Wolf] were arrested and charged with running a house of prostitution in Gwinnett County’s Sugarloaf subdivision.
Probert and her attorney, Steve Sadow, appeared before Judge Billy Ray on Thursday. Probert pleaded not guilty to prostitution, racketeering, and drug charges. She and Lisa Taylor maintained they were exotic dancers who were selling fantasy, but nots ex.
Sadow said the case should be thrown out of court because investigators illegally wiretapped both women’s phones last year.
“That’s going to be the key pretrial issue – you can’t get a wiretap in a prostitution case in Georgia,” Sadow said.
District Attorney Danny Porter disputed the illegal wiretap theory.
The decision will go to a judge in the fall.
Taylor, accused of being the ringleader in the so-called “mansion madam” case, pleaded not guilty in July. Taylor, who used the stage name Melissa Wolf while performing exotic dances, was a former Penthouse Pet of the Month. She and Probert were arrested on January 3 of this year.
