Jerry at Stardust Industries writes: Hello, First let me introduce my self. My name is Jerry Villarreal. I am employed by Tommy Sino, at Stardust Industries.
I can totally relate to this article, https://adultfyi.com/read.aspx?ID=7279 and particularly the GMs part, about “pocketing money”. I have come on board at Stardust, after being out of the industry for about 14 yrs.
(That’s a WHOLE other story). So first, let me to continue that yes Stardust has its share of problems now, and I can relate to those companies barely making it………………
I can also relate to the part of the article well here lets take it from the top.
I joined Stardust, and Stardust was not paying, or bouncing checks all over the place. Now I am not a miracle worker, by any means, but I had to research the problems. First the GM was carrying paper on his orders, the sales manager was also doing this, along with wood..now then they were fired, but the owner didn’t know of all these little things, and it was out of control. Now, also factor in that the former employees who worked on commission took their clients/customers with them…now we have no income from being a one-stop, I inherit the problems of a short inventory, and returns for items shipped on an auto basis, and then I have the customers who want product, but they also have product to rerun, our website is not being monitored…and then now we have no money, and no sales people, and creditors, and now comes the real kicker…people who have been hounding us for payments are satisfied, and what happens.
Now they owe us money, and they bounce a check to us, so where else.? I have been out of the biz, to see the changes, but one thing doesn’t change..if you don’t control your sales people, or your shippers, you will not succeed, even if your are selling….I have came up with a new marketing campaign, and of course the industry that has supported us, is going to make us a comeback…now on to the show about why I wrote this, because STARDUST has survived, but not without being branded, and I resent the brand because uncertain actions by employees who now work elsewhere, and left us in this mess.
We have learned our lesson, when will the others? Hopefully not before its not to late…Do I make sense? Can anyone understand how I am venting Here? [email protected].
