Porn Valley- Performers have always had one, but from what I’m gathering, there’s a growing list of agencies now subscribing to a “No” list.
In the current state of affairs, Christian’s name is being found at the top of a lot those shit lists. Granted, much of it has to do with politics -a statement, hypercritical or not, regarding Christian’s very candid sexual philosophies as much as it’s seen as an anti-La Direct Models statement being made by its growing competition.
A lot of people just don’t like Derek Hay, and Christian, who’s been hired in the past as Hay’s paid bodyguard, is seen as a crony, confidant, suck up and cheer leader. And now he’s become the convenient patsy. Also granted is the fact that Christian on his site promotes what appears to be a very active and lucrative performing schedule, but critics point out that he also tends to harp excessively about those instances when female performers refuse to work with him.
For instance, Christian’s recent spout with Penny Flame over condoms which has been dramatized on his blog, www.christiansingstheblues.com is only putting more light on this hotly debated “No” issue.
Without a doubt, the fallout from that piece alone is probably costing Christian, who’s never been one to deny his walks on the wild side, residual work in the monkey see, monkey do world of the adult industry. In fact, I’m told that World Modeling just joined the group of agencies that are taking a long, hard look about booking its performers with Christian.
On the other hand, Mark Spiegler of Spiegler Girls is quoted in a recent TNA article, www.thenaughtyamerican.com as saying he doesn’t encourage a “No” list because the girls have to be professional.
“We book you with somebody, you work with them,” states Spiegler, obviously side stepping the freedom of choice objection.
Penny Flame is also one of a handful of female performers quoted in the same article which is of the opinion that approximately 80 percent [and one might argue that number] of the performers in the industry have a “No” list.
All for varying reasons, according to who’s saying what. Those varying reasons include everything from personality to bad attitude to brutish behavioral instances. Even though no specifics are offered.
Which isn’t to say the Christian argument is small potatoes in comparison.
Cites the TNA article: “One of the more controversial reasons is health concern, particularly a fear of contracting HIV from male performers who do, or have done, gay porn, or are suspected of engaging in homosexual activity in their private lives.”
Even with AIM tests presenting a clean bill of health [although, theoretically, an updated test is only as good as the next sex scene], what’s said on the gossip boards enters the equation and matters to some performers, according to TNA.
But to Roxy DeVille, issues like this don’t seem to bother her an iota.
[DeVille’s long been cited as an active sexual partner of Christian’s, anyway.]
“When you enter this business, you accept the fact that you’re having sex with strangers without protection every day,” DeVille tells TNA. “You have to accept the risks that are coming your way.”
While it’s obvious that she’s talking about Christian without naming him, DeVille also states, “As far as I’m concerned, no one is any riskier than anyone else. If your AIM test is good, your AIM test is as good as anyone else’s. So, no, I would never put anyone on my No List based just on what they do outside of work.”
Nina Hartley is also quoted in the article as well as Katja Kassin. While Penny Flame wouldn’t go into particulars about the Christian episode, she says that men generally make her list for being “arrogant dicks” or being “disrespectful”.
Hartley feels pretty much the same way about guys who tend to be assholes, whereas Kassin’s feelings extend to behavior beyond the set when males seek to pursue off camera relationships.
On a less stringent note, Hartley cites familiarity as another issue and, therefore, puts Ron Jeremy on her “No” list. To Hartley, Jeremy has become more of a cuddly but hairy brother.
While women will constantly promote the off-told lie that size doesn’t matter, it apparently does to those who refuse to work with generously endowed gents.
For that reason, Flame puts Lee Stone on her “No” list. “His cock is the size of my leg,” says Flame who hastens to add that Stone’s a nice guy, otherwise.
