LOS ANGELES – On Friday, November 12, 2004, when Adult Video News announced the 2005 AVN Award nominations, Vivid Entertainment became the most nominated company in the 22-year history of the event. This year’s 93 nominations brings Vivid’s all-time total to over 1000. Ninety-three nominations also surpasses the all-time single year record for nominations given to one company. The 2005 AVN Awards to be presented in Las Vegas on January 8th have been dubbed “the Oscars of adult.”

Vivid Girl Savanna Samson, who will host the 2005 awards ceremony, was nominated for Female Performer of the Year along with Best Actress-Film and Best Actress-Video. Sunrise Adams received a Best Actress-Film nomination for her starring role in Debbie Does Dallas: The Revenge, and Tawny Roberts garnered a nomination for Best Actress-Video for her role in Unlovable.
