From www.gaywired.com- Paul Donahoe, to whom we refer around here as ‘The Porn Wrestler’, is apparently not quite ready to hang up his equipment. A spokesman for Fratmen.tv (which hosted the first video of Donahoe, as “Nash,” getting it on with himself for the camera) told Outsports.com that Donahoe is scheduled for an encore performance in the wake of a new ESPN special about his original video and subsequent dismissal from the University of Nebraska wrestling team.
Outside the Lines will air Sunday on ESPN and will examine the case of Donahoe and fellow Nebraska wrester Kenny Jordan, both of whom modeled for Fratmen last year and were subsequently dismissed from the team for supposed NCAA violations. The special was originally expected to air in early May but was postponed until June 14.
“Nash” was scheduled to take part in a live show on Fratmen on May 13 of this year, a coup that was heavily advertised by the voyeuristic site. But the show was subsequently cancelled due to supposed equipment failure. The rescheduled date of May 20 was also postponed.
Paul DonahoeA spokesman for Fratmen told disgruntled members of the JustUsBoys.com forum, “[Donahoe] feels (and I agree) that it would be better to postpone his return Fratmen.TV LIVE! show until after the ESPN story airs to see how it all plays out.”
However, Outsports cites an unnamed writer for an adult entertainment website as saying Donahoe has cancelled on several different appointments for unknown reasons. Donahoe, who transferred to Edinboro College for his final season and was the national runner-up in his division this year, made it clear he did the first video solely for the financial compensation, and says he is not gay.
Outsports claims the wrestler received $2000 for his stint, which is rather more than most performers receive for typical hardcore adult scenes, so his interest in returning is hardly strange.
After membership on Fratmen spiked following the original announcement of Donahoe’s returned, some members expressed annoyance at having paid for memberships and then having the star attraction bail. A spokesman for the site told Just Us Boys, “Anyone who purchased a membership for the sole purpose of seeing Fratmen Nash’s show and isn’t interested in any of the other content on the site, will be issued a refund.”
Considering the potential for a much larger audience following the ESPN special, however, the delay is probably a shrewd move for the entrepreneurial budding porn star.
