Porn Valley- Stormy Daniels had Daniel Metcalf on the phone Wednesday night during her KSEX show. Metcalf, the former publicist at Wicked Pictures, put out the following press release earlier.

Metcalf called in to offer further comment. Metcalf said he was leaving as of Thursday. “If there’s ever been a time when the old saw about this isn’t the end, it’s a beginning, is true. It’s definitely now.” Metcalf had been at Wicked the last six years.
“The past six years I’ve been working with the best publicist who’s ever graced adult P.R.,” Metcalf said, indicating that he was talking about Joy King. Metcalf said King brought him under her wing initially “to do the daily grind of press releases and assist her however possible.” Metcalf said he mentored with the best. “Joy is an icon in this industry and will continue to be so whether she’s doing P.R., sales, production,” Metcalf continued. According to Metcalf, a lot of people don’t know that she co-wrote Dream Quest with Brad Armstrong which is one of Wicked’s classics. “She’s a true powerhouse in this industry. I really was blessed to learn from the best.”
As King moved into sales and other facets, Metcalf took over more responsibilities. Metcalf said the responsibilities branched out into many more areas not specifically that you would think as part of the publicist arsenal. “It’s a great company to work out and I’ve been blessed in every fashion,” Metcalf went on to say. Metcalf explained that he was continuing not only with the kind of P.R. that he had been doing at Wicked but would be returning to his roots prior to the business when he was a literary agent during the day and a porn reviewer at night. Metcalf said his company would be a full boutique agency and that he was re-locating to the east coast.
“If you’re going to work in publishing you got to be within a day’s drive of New York and Boston,” he said. Metcalf said his wife Amanda was also accepting a teaching gig on the east coast. Metcalf said his investors came through to back his company and within 48 hours his wife got her offer. Metcalf took that as an indication that it was time to move on.
