WWW- Attorney John Fitzgibbons defending his client, Debra Lafave, a middle-school reading teacher accused of fucking 14 year-olds, went to the Michael Jackson playbook this week.

Lafave, 24, who is yelling insanity, faces a trial set for Dec. 5 on four felony counts of lewd and lascivious battery and one count of lewd and lascivious exhibition. Each count carries a maximum 15-year prison term. Which means LaFave would be a not so hot 84 year old when she got out.

Fitzgibbons said plea bargaining broke down because prosecutors wanted Lafave to serve too much prison time.

“To place an attractive young woman in that kind of hell hole is like putting a piece of raw meat in with the lions,” said Fitzgibbons. “I’m not sure she would survive.”
