Porn Valley- Daphne Rosen is a very pretty woman with luscious natural breasts and heart breaking areolas. I spoke to Rosen on the Team Tyler set this week. Rosen shares a 5pm show on KSEX, www.ksexradio.com, Monday nights with Annie Cruz.
“That’s going absolutely wonderful,” says Rosen of the show. “It gets better every week. We’ve started doing little sketches that we throw in. And we’ve got so many guests lined up at this point. We were keeping it just the two of us for a little while but now we’ve got a list of 20 people that are just waiting to get on the show which is really cool. We get feedback constantly from our fans saying how much they love the show. We always say that the fans are the third member of our show so any feedback they want to give us, anything they want to see we always take that into consideration. Nine times out of ten we follow through on that.”
You might imagine that Rosen would have been panicked the first time in front of a mike. Not at all, she swears. “Radio is one of my favorite mediums. I listen to Air America all the time, so I got some inspiration from that and I love to talk, so getting on and talking to a huge group of people for an hour, thrilled me.”
Rosen has been in the adult business about two years. She got her start doing bondage movies back on the east coast. “I answered an ad- they were booking pictures of girls tied up,” she remembers. “I thought that would be fun. I found out that I was an absolute ham in front of the camera. My parents never gave me sexual taboos. I’ve never been afraid of sex. I’ve always thought that sex was a natural thing so getting into porn was a totally natural progression for me. I also started on the east coast doing a lot of websites- Score, things like that. Then I decided to move out West, young man.”
Rosen’s parents were never strict with her. “They are pretty much hippies at heart,” she states. “Not necessarily going to communes and stuff. I’ve never lived in a commune but my parents never had sexual repression. Or at least if they did, they flushed it out of their system before they had me. We always talked about sex openly. It was never something to be afraid of. It was never something considered taboo or something you shouldn’t talk about or shouldn’t do. It was a very natural part of life.”
Rosen was born in Tel Aviv but only lived there until she was two. Then she grew up in Massachusetts. She went to Amherst. In high school, Rosen was into her studies and swore sweatshirts and larger T-shirts to hide her boobs. It was at parties that she would show herself off. But in college Rosen decided to totally embrace her sexuality. “I’ve always love it; I’ve never been afraid of my tits. I’ve always had great posture so I’ve never had any of those back problems. I’ve always been loud and proud.”
Rosen’s first time sexually was with another girl. “It was every guy’s fantasy,” she says of the pajama party scenario. “It was a silly thing. But I was with my best friend and we had a sleepover. We decided to experiment. We had the whole pillow fight and collapsed into each other and started chatting, figuring out that we were both interested in exploring ourselves and each other.” Rosen considers her bisexual, noting that she and her friend continued to play throughout high school. “But it never turned into a relationship or anything,” she says. She was 14 when she had sex with a guy. “But it wasn’t that memorable,” she says. “I always had an orgasm so it wasn’t like, my God, I’m having sex. I don’t remember it that well being honest.
Asked if she had any recollections of Tel Aviv, Rosen says very few. “My biggest recollection was that I had a eucalyptus tree in my back yard,” she said. “My father tried to plant one in Massachusetts but it didn’t work out. I guess when I was younger I played with that tree all the time out in the backyard.” Rosen said her parents always knew they were going to move back to the states. Her mother is Israeli. Her father is American with Russian ancestry. “They met over here in college. They moved to Israel but were planning on only staying there for a few years.”
Rosen is trying to pursue her grad degree and her Ph.D in Psychology. “But I’ve just gotten very busy doing stuff in the industry,” Rosen says, noting that she’s planning on starting a production company soon. “It takes a lot of time. I’ve been basically taking a class a semester. And those classes are like those one or two-day seminar kind of things. At this rate I’ll be a 100 by the time I graduate but, ultimately, I plan on backing away from the industry a little bit when I get bored. Who knows? A year? Ten years?” As far as putting a business plan together, Rosen’s well, in the pre-planning stages. “I do have an individual that is really in investing so I’m pursuing that.” Rosen’s also looking at production deals, producing for other companies. “Ultimately I could be doing productions, as well, for myself,” she adds
Rosen also has a contract with Venom. “We’re working on my directorial debut,” she says. “We’re going to call that Daphne’s Double D, Double Penetration Party. That will be my first line under Daphne Rosen. I’m really excited about that. Big titty chicks and double penetration.”
Rosen’s parents have no problem with her present career. “They fully support me,” she says. “They would be upset with me if I ever did something that I didn’t have empowerment over myself. The most important thing to my mother is women having sexual empowerment. That’s a big thing they tried to instill in me. In this industry, anything you see me in, I have full control over myself. Even it’s a more rough scene, I’m doing it because I want to be doing it, not because somebody’ forcing me to.”
Asked if she’s encountered close calls, Rosen has stopped scenes on occasion where she feels she’s not getting the respect she deserves. “I stop and take a break and say wait a minute. Let’s talk about this.” As an example, Rosen says she doesn’t do double-anal or double-vaginal and she’s had instances where someone tried to insert a dildo on her and she went, whoa. “Then there are little things like if someone is twisting me about and making me into a rag doll. That might be an occasion where I might stop a scene and say let’s figure out what’s going on. Just because I was raised to believe that sex is beautiful and I think it should be enjoyed by both partners. That’s my personal belief. Some people like to be tossed around. If they like it, then that’s cool and go for it. I’m a Gemini so I get into my moods. I have all sorts of personalities. Every once in awhile I like to be tossed around a bit. But it has to be my mood.”
It doesn’t sound like a possibility from what I’m hearing, but I ask Rosen if anyone tried taking advantage of her as a newbie. “No,” she says flatly. “I think they knew better just by meeting me. I can’t explain; I can’t describe exactly why, but I’ve never been really taken advantage of. People seem to understand that I’m a strong woman that is in charge of herself.”
Rosen notes that her blowjob scene with Dick Nasty turned somewhat into a geyser. “I think they caught it on tape,” she says. “They were lined up for it.” Rosen discovered about two months ago that she’s a female ejaculator. “I always held it in, not realizing what was going on,” she says. “I found out that that feeling I get is ejaculation which is why afterwards I would always have water come out of me after every scene.
