Porn Valley- I spoke to Missy Monroe, who will be 21 this month. It was on the set of Mitch Spinelli’s Jam It Up My Ass 2 www.adultfyi.com/read.aspx?ID=11208. Missy was telling me that she was also going to celebrate her third anniversary in the porn business. Missy mentions that Filthy First Timers 35 was her first ever movie. And that they also tried to get her to do anal.

“My first movie- are they crazy? Gosh” Missy laughs. Missy started off in porn first by doing a couple of photo shoots. “I was dancing and they told me you had to be 21. I was only 18. I had just turned 18 three months before. They told me you had to be 21 to dance so I looked in the newspaper and I’m looking for something else to do. I see nude photo shoot. Oooh. That sounds fun. I did that and they said someone else might want to shoot you. Then they sent me to Mr. Chris and I did that movie. Then it was on. I went out to L.A. with Dick Nasty. I did a few movies. Monroe notes that she was also holding a casting call for her movie at Defiance Films- Tuesday. “It’s going to be between 12 and 5 for natural Big Boob Girls,” she says. “I’m going to shoot my movie the 24th and 25th for Torrid.” Monroe says this will be the first movie she’s directing.

“I was living in Vegas at the time,” she continues. “I had a boyfriend that thought I was doing girls. But I was doing guys. It was bad. I was naughty.”

I figured that shit hit the fan when it was discovered that Missy was doing boys. That wasn’t quite it she says. “He stole money from me and lied to me. I said screw you. I don’t need that. I can do good on my own so here I am.”

“Screw that. You can find your own guys to steal money from you,” I tell Missy. She agrees. Missy explained that when she would come out to L.A., she’d send her boyfriend money. “He wasn’t working at the time of course,” she says. “He’d call me up and say things like someone came in and stole money from the house. I’m, like, we have two dogs. I’m sure they got past them. He’s, like, somebody stole money- I need more money. He’s all strung out on drugs and was buying a bunch and doing them. So I left him.”

When it’s suggested that Monroe is perhaps a drama magnet, she states, “Why me?” as if already knowing that answer. “That’s what it is. I’m nice and people walk all over me. I kind of give them the opportunity to do that sometimes. I have someone move in with me and they don’t take care of things the way I like. It’s because I don’t set things down in the beginning. If I would have done that, then there probably wouldn’t have been so many problems. You live. You learn. If people don’t pay rent that sucks. I’ve had two roommates that sucked since I’ve been out here. I’ve had three that were cool. [They were all in the porn biz.] I’ve lived in five places since I’ve been here. That’s been fun.”

Monroe’s living by herself now. “I’m all alone,” she says. “That is a big step for me- being by myself. I’m learning a lot. I don’t have any family out here or any friends from high school. Any of that kind of stuff. I was kind of lonely. I didn’t have a boyfriend, usually. But I’m okay being alone and I’ve got some cool friends.”

Back on the shitty roommates topic, Monroe states that one was shitty once and then good another time. “I lived with that person twice.” I took that to mean Genesis Skye but Monroe says it wasn’t her. “It was a different person,” she says. “It was a guy.”

Monroe says she’s very happy being on her own for a change. “It’s kind of cool- my dog is really cool.” Monroe says she needed to color her hair darker. “I get recognized a lot,” she says. “It’s weird. Even now as a brunette but not as much. I walk into a restaurant, like a Thai restaurant: ‘Missy Monroe- I know you.’ I remember once with Jon Strong walking in somewhere: ‘I know you two- I see you two work together.’ It was so funny. I was like oh my gosh. But there was a lot of weird times- like being at the airport with my mom in Germany. A fan comes up. Yes, thank God my mom already know I was in the business. Because this fan’s are you an actress? I’m like yeeeeah. Are you Missy? I’m, like, yeeeah. He’s like I love you. Oh my gosh. My mom’s right here.” Monroe says the guy brought up one of her movies which was kind of mortifying.

Monroe says her mother’s reaction to her working in porn was, whatever. “She loves me and is proud that I’m doing good for me,” says Missy. “She’s not necessarily proud to say what I’m doing. She probably tells her friends I model or something. But she’s happy that I’m able to take care of myself and make myself happy.” Monroe says when she danced, her mother wouldn’t let her little sister come near her. “That’s so bad,” she said. “I’m not allowing her around you no more. Then when I started porn she said go back to dancing- please, please! So that was kind of weird.”

“What a sad, sad day for me, man,” she says. “I can’t believe that I didn’t stand up for myself.
