JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – A Jacksonville man was jailed after police said he was accused of soliciting a 13-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy to appear in pornographic films.
Aubrey Jamal Butler, 25, was arrested Monday and charged with enticing a child for immoral purposes. He remained in the Calhoun County Jail Tuesday under a $10,000 bond.
The girl, an eighth-grader, identified him in a photo as the man who stopped her on the street and offered her $800 to allow someone to perform a lewd act on her. She reported to police that Butler asked her to be in his movies on Aug. 2.
The boy, also an eighth-grader, reported on Aug. 11 that a man of the same description approached him on the street and offered him $1,000 to make a porn film.
“I was kind of scared, but not all that scared,” the boy said. “I wasn’t sure what he was going to do.”
Butler, a worker at Springs Industries in Piedmont, recently moved to the Jacksonville area and has a criminal record in Florida.
“If he was making pornography, he just got started,” Investigator Mike Denton said. “He hasn’t been in the area long.”
Police have not found any evidence of children being used in pornography.
