Porn Valley- Deep Throat, www.xxxdeepthroat.com has been accepted into the Rio De Janeiro International Film Festival, according to Paul Interlandi, the man responsible for re-mastering the classic porn film.

Interlandi notes that while Deep Throat will be playing along with the Inside Deep Throat documentary, this is probably the first time that a porn film is being accepted in a legitimate film festival. Besides that, Interlandi’s own documentary- converted into a film- will be playing the festival as well. It’s titled Days of Deep Throat and features Eric Edwards. “It’s been showing with Deep Throat all over the world,” says Interlandi. “Actually the people in New York enjoyed this little thing I did. It’s more understandable when you live in New York and know where 42nd St. is, where Greenwich Village is and all that kind of stuff. You recognize the locations.” Interlandi’s documentary is also available as an extra on the DVD edition of Deep Throat.

The film festival starts August 22nd and will be featuring over 300 films over a two-week period. Interlandi plans making the trip but will be there maybe four or five days.
