Porn Valley- I spoke to Jason Sechrest, www.jasoncurious.com this afternoon, and our chat centers on gay performer Brent Corrigan. Word is out that Corrigan may have worked underage. And Jason’s telling me ain’t this a bite in the balls because Corrtigan’s movies, “Bareboned Twinks” ; “Casting Couch 4” ; “Every Pool Boy’s Dream” and “School Boy Crush” all got 4- A ratings and are some of the most popular gay movies out there.
In fact, Sechrest is gnashing his teeth because he’s had to remove VOD’s from his website featuring Corrigan.
Laughing, Sechrest said I called the right person about Corrigan if only for the fact that it’s a go-figure.
“This performer and the movies that he did- of the THOUSANDS of gay movies that get made and of the THOUSANDS that are available in my VOD theater on my website – Corrigan and his movie School Boy Crush was the one that I picked to be my pick of the month,” says Sechrest.
“We’re taking it down today because it’s already been removed from VOD Theater. You have to be kidding me. I was totally getting off on this boy like in the last four weeks and I didn’t know he was underage. Like keep it up! Leave the video up a little bit longer, please! Two or three more hours!”
Sechrest has never met Corrigan.
“But I don’t know if it’s a case of him really being underage or if he just doesn’t want those videos out there any more and he’s using scare tactics on Cobra,” continues Sechrest.
If that’s true, Corrigan’s strategy would suggest that he may be pulling the equivalent of a Moanna Pozzi by creating a smoke screen. But who’s to say at the moment.
“Cobra Video is a smaller company,” explains Sechrest. “But I have no idea which it is. But either way Cobra has issued their statement. Pacific Sun were the ones to distribute the movies but Cobra made them. It’s interesting because we always tell these people once you do it, you can never go back. You can’t have these movies taken off the shelves. But if you think about it, if you’re underage then you can! Then you can reek a lot of havoc and have everything taken off the shelves.”
Sechrest is also of the belief that this is a first for the gay video industry.
“Those movies were huge sellers, too,” he adds. “His movies were Cobra’s best selling. He was in four titles for them. And all four were on their Top 10 list of best sellers of all time.”
Asked if Corrigan’s a young-looking guy, Sechrest exclaims, “Oh my God, yes! Like insanely young-looking. I remember watching it thinking you’ve got to be kidding me. There’s no way this boy is actually 18 years old. And, as it turns out, he’s not. I just find it very funny, I don’t know why.” I ask Sechrest if he feels soiled having watched these movies.
“I feel like a dirty old man,” Sechrest replies. “And I love it. I can’t believe of all the movies that I make my personal pick of the month, that’s, like, lovely, Jason. That’s great. That really says a lot about you. But they were great films. I know that GayVN gave all those movies 4-A’s. It catered to our fantasy all too much. I think Cobra is just beside themselves because they made so much money off of the movies.”
Even before he made it a pick for his website, Sechrest says School Boy Crush was one of the most watched movies on VOD theater, run by AEBN.
“They always had it in their top five, top three of the most watched videos.” And, according to Sechrest, one of the people most happy about the turn of events might be performer Brent Everett.
“He’s a super star now in the gay porn business,” says Sechrest. “And those were the only movies he bare backed in. Those were bare back movies as well.” Sechrest tells me that when you do bare back movies there are certain companies in the gay industry that won’t hire you.
“They look upon that as being a huge no-no,” he says. “There are certain people who will not hire you if you have that on the list of films that you’ve done. I know that Brent has been one of the few performers who have been able to get past his bare back beginnings and become a huge star in the mainstream of gay porn. It’s been something that has haunted him and any time he’s done an interview, people have asked him about it.” And, according to Sechrest, it’s Everett who had sex with Corrigan in those movies.
Sechrest starts directing in October and tells me he’s been thinking about hiring Everett in his movie titled Bully.
“He’s all over my website,” says Sechrest who’s scouting locations this week. “And we’re wrapping all all the paperwork that makes DV8 Productions a legal company. I hate dealing with money and contracts and I’m trying my best to have my lawyers deal with that end of things.”
Sechrest is shooting two features, one that includes a reality day-in-the life gonzo movie.
“I’d like to bring the gonzo kind of movie making to gay porn,” says Sechrest. “There isn’t a lot of that. Most of gay porn is scripted and bigger budget and lavish productions. I think it’s time to bring the hand-held to the gay porn community.”
