Porn Valley- On a recent Tom Zupko shoot www.adultfyi.com/read.aspx?ID=11344, I interviewed Nick Sparks. Contrary to the impression lent by the photo, Sparks doesn’t wear a page boy and neither goes around impersonating Russian ballerinas or Andrew Blake contract stars. In real life, Sparks, who’s married to porn performer Brandie May, wears what’s left of his dome, skin tight. Sparks has been trying to get in the industry the past four years, he tells me.
He moved to Las Vegas from North Carolina and got a job at an adult video store. Sparks moved with an old girlfriend that he’s since split from.
“We were trying to get into the business,” Sparks explains. “She started working at dance clubs. She didn’t like the amount of drive that I had trying to get into this business. She dumped me and left me. I was in Las Vegas with my three kids. I couldn’t maintain a job and my three kids so I had to move to some place where I could which was Georgia. I moved there, and after about eight months working there I went over to my boss’ son’s house one morning and Brandie May was over there. I met her and about a couple of weeks after that, her mom kicked her out and she moved in with me.
I ask Sparks about his compelling need to get into the business.
“I love women,” he says. “Obviously there’s good money in the business if you can get into it and I wanted to start my own business. I have kids and I didn’t want to work some meaningless, endless job going nowhere.” Sparks says he’s been a fan of porn since he was a kid.
Sparks and May started in the industry last November, getting some gigs in Miami. “We didn’t want Brandie to just jump right in. We wanted her to work her way into it.” Asked if one of those companies had been Icy Porn, Spark says they walked out on them. “When we first moved down there we found a modeling agent, Alternative Modeling, Eli. It was her first shoot and it was supposed to be for Icy Porn. And they wanted to change her name which we weren’t too hot about. Eli kept insisting that it was no big deal. We weren’t hot about that. Then they wanted to take her with five guys to a totally different spot- by herself- to do a b/g shoot. And they didn’t want me there. They didn’t want the modeling agent there. They didn’t want no one there. We were, like, no way, and we ended up walking out on them.”
I mention the water buffalo scandal www.adultfyi.com/read.aspx?ID=9522 to Sparks and he tells me the gig was actually offered to May to kill a water buffalo.
“She didn’t do that.” Sparks and May work with other partners and I wonder how that works out for them.
“We talk about everything and that’s how we deal with it,” says Sparks. “Everything and anything we talk about. If there’s something she doesn’t like or something I don’t like, we talk about it and work it out.” Once he got his porn feet by working with May on camera, Sparks is pretty hard pressed to name the next female porn performer that he worked with. Other than that he started his company Sparks Entertainment and Video Productions. “We’ve got a couple of scenes shot for a movie but we have nothing out yet. We’re trying to take the money from this to fuel that.” Sparks makes mention of people who’ve wanted to use May and toss her to the side.
“When we first came out here we went with World Modeling,” he says. “The first place they tried sending her to was Max Hardcore, then TT Boy. We didn’t do none of that. We didn’t want her to do nothing degrading or nothing belittling.” According to Sparks, May will also begin featuring in November at different clubs. “Hopefully once we feature and start making money off of that, I’ll be able to pick and choose the work that we do- for the better stuff- and build her name up, the same time building our company up.”
Sparks says he was a wild kid growing up. “I dressed like Motley Crue,” he remembers. “I had long hair.” Sparks’ first sexual experience was in the ninth grade with some chick named Dee as he recalls. “She was a senior and it was in the back of one of these tiny Hondas. We had sex one or two times and I never saw her again.”
May jumps into the conversation and mentions another girl named Stacy Knight [from Florida], that Sparks used to bang in the ass. According to what May is chiming in, this girl had a self-lubricating asshole and all Sparks had to do was stick it right in. Sparks says this is the first time he ever had anal. “I’ve loved it ever since.”
