Porn Valley- One minute she was there. Next minute she was gone. I’m in the middle of interviewing Sativa Rose on a Defiance/Torrid shoot when Finch, the PM for director Vince Voss, interrupts the conversation. He says he needs a word with Rose who’s scheduled to have the next scene with Anthony Hardwood.

In the meantime, I have a brief word with Hardwood when I notice Rose changing back into her street clothes, putting on her baseball cap and sniffling. Rose says she’s leaving. I ask Finch what happened. He says he sent her home. Then I’m getting an explanation about Rose’s attitude which seemed fine to me, but then I’m only interviewing her. I’m told that Rose had given Finch some what-for on the last shoot she was on when he tried to do a BTS interview with her. Truth of the matter, I saw some of it Wednesday when Finch again pointed the camera at her. And that’s why I was kind of tentative to approach Rose. Rose later told Finch she was just kidding and being sarcastic.

As I said, Rose seemed okay with me. She was telling me how she was in the business two years and had finished one year in college when our chat was cut short. Otherwise, it seemed like the moon was in perfect position for busting balls. Everyone was getting it. Earlier, Todd Todd and Kurt Lockwood [pictured], apparently practiced at this, were locking horns and exchanging fashion and manhood insults. Todd suspects that the only fans Lockwood’s got are buying used condoms off his website.

Then, again, it didn’t help Lockwood’s cause earlier in the day when he called that he was running late because of a flat tire. Taylor Rain remembered Lockwood calling her a crack head on a Private shoot.

“Like he said it in front of all these Euros,” Rain states. Asked if she were smoking crack at the time, Rain said, yeah, but that was beside the point. Todd remembered another time where Rain and Lockwood worked together on a JKP shoot. Rain said Lockwood told people how she shit all over his dick during their anal scene. Asked if she shit on Lockwood’s dick, Rain said barely. “But he passed the story around,” she says. “Oh, the ego. I hate guys!” Rain also remembers losing a $300 shoe in a pond during that shoot.

Waiting for Lockwood to arrive, Voss is telling a story about shooting Franco Del Toro in a blowjob scene and how Del Toro couldn’t pop and had to call time out to clip an I-pod on so he could zone in to whatever he was zoning in to. Voss says even that didn’t help and so had to manufacture Del Toro’s passion with egg whites.

“Blowjob movies are hard- they’re really fucking hard,” says Voss. “They’re twice as stressful as one of these shows.” For his part Lockwood says out of 600 scenes he’s shot, he could count the bad ones on one hand.

Later when Lockwood asked for a cup of ice to go with his water, he started getting it from the bleachers.”Can I, like, have my water at least one degree cooler than room temperature?” Lockwood asks, sarcastically, sweat pouring down his back after he hoisted Lauren Phoenix on his shoulders. Lockwood fields a couple more jibes about whether he’s giving “cool” lessons or not.

“The guy you love to hate,” Lockwood smiles. “I’m laughing all the way to the bank.” Lockwood’s telling me how they love you till you pop.

“That’s going to be the title of my book,” Lockwood says.

Voss is now doing an impression of Finch calling him from an El Pollo Loco, Finch apparently having a passion for chicken and turkey roll derivatives. “If a chicken didn’t want to be eaten, it should fly,” Finch reasons.

Chicken sandwiches notwithstanding, in their sidebar, Finch apparently asked Rose if she was up to giving a good scene. And Rose evidently told him she has all this shit on her shoulders, whatever that means. Can you do this, Finch again wants to know. Rose says she doesn’t know.

“You’re an actress- act,” Finch told her. Then when Finch told Rose he was going to replace her, Rose said it was going to cost him- apparently meaning a kill fee.

Finch then had a conversation with L.A. Direct to pass along reasons why Rose was being sent back and the agency was apparently in agreement with the decision. Todd also had a conversation earlier with Rose that didn’t bode well. Rose had made some comment and Todd told her that she’s the kind of person in the restaurant where a chef spits in your food.

“I’m a nice person,” Rose insisted. Todd agreed. “Deep inside you’re a nice girl,” he tells her. “But every set I’ve seen you on, you’re bitter. You’re always disgruntled.”
