Nikki Nova was injured in an accident on a porn shoot Friday.
Danny Dukes writes: Yesterday [Friday] we were on a location shooting and Nikki was involved in a serious accident. She was on a horse and the horse got spooked. Nikki fell off the back of the horse and then the horse fell back on her head.
She sustained a few serious injuries. She has a fractured skull and has 3 sections of her brain that are bleeding. She is currently in the ICU and is stabalized for now. She is getting CT Scans every 4 hours or so to check her progress so they can determine if and/or when they would have to go in and operate.
Right now first of all, we really need the emotional support of her friends and all the people that know her and have worked with her over the years.
On a second note, unfortunetly, Nikki does NOT have medical insurance at this time and she is really going to need some help. There will be bills from the life flight helicoter to ER to operations to rehab. I have talked to her mom and as much as its hard to talk about money at a time like this, it is a part of the situtation that has to be dealt with.
We have setup a Pay Pal account for people to make donations to help Nikki with her medical bills and recovery. Please send all donations to [email protected]. If you do not have pay pal and want to send money to help, please email me directly at webmaster AT nikkinova dot com and we can make arrangments.
If anyone needs to reach me, I will not be in a front of a computer all day as I’m sitting in the ICU with her. My cell phone will not be working either. I will post back on this thread as news comes in. As most of you know, I run her site and lived with her for a few years. She is one of my best friends and more so family. I’m very scared for her right now and my head is spinning. So if you call me and I don’t get back to you right away, please just be patient with me and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
I know that there are a lot of people that love Nikki and a lot of people that have worked with her over the years. Right now, I ask that all of you please say a prayer for her, send out some positive energy, and if you can, please make any kind of donation so that she can get all the proper medical care she deserves
Posted also on nikkinova.com: Please excuse any typos and rants. I will make this a sorta blog entrie and get it more organized as the days progress. I’m operating on no sleep in 2 days and I’ve been trying my hardest to handle all the needs she has and the needs of her family. People have asked how they can help and where can they send donations, so here is that info. There are currently two ways you can send a donation.
Pay Pal – [email protected] – [email protected]
On monday we will open a bank account for her, so if you would like to just send a check, I will provide the information once I have it.
Please undestand that there are reasons why she doesn’t have medical insurance right now and the reasons are totally irrelavent. Her family and friends are paying the bill as of now. The donation information is not a request that you send money, just a way of giving information to the people that do want to. I have been flooded with calls about how can people help and where can they send donations, so this is just an information site to help get it the facts to people that need and want them.
Nov. 6th, 2005 – 8:12pm – Well today is my birthday and I have to say I got a pretty good birthday present around 3:00pm this afternoon. I got a hug from Nikki. Early this afternoon, sort of out of no where, she started to awaken and regain conciouness. So they preceded to prep her and remove her from the breathing machine. I got there and after waiting for about 30 mintues, they let me finally come in to the ICU and see her. She saw me and knew me and started waking up. I told her how we have all been right here waiting and that her mother was on her way out her from Virginia. She was still very much out of it and on Morphene, so she was real groggy. But she asked me to sit on the bed with her so she could just lay down, put her head on my lap and let me massage her neck and scratch her back and relax her. I even asked her if she knew what today was, and without hessitation, she said “your birthday”. These are all very good signs. She is mentally active and not overly confused. I stayed with her till she fell back asleep and then left to share the news with her family and friends. I talked to the Doctor and they are very pleased with the progress she is making. She is still in ICU and has another CT scan scheduled for tomorrow. Hopefully, she will continue to improve and we can get her to a standard room. When we do, and I can get an address for flowers, I will post it. I don’t have anything yet and a lot of people have been asking, so please just be patient. So for tonight, please continue to pray for her to improve. I’m going to bed now. I’ve slept 7 hours in the past 2 and half days and just about tapped out. Thank you so much for all the support, love and prayers. I will be back at the hospital in the morning, so I will post more info tomorrow as I get updated.
Nov. 6th, 2005 – 10:55am – I just spoke with the head nurse on duty. Nikki has started to wake up. They said she is starting to respond to basic commands like hold your right hand up and she did then hold your left thumb up and she did. They said she is doing better than yesterday. I nor her mother have talked to the main neurologist yet but I should talk to him within the next hour. I am on my way back down and they finally said I can get in and see her. Her next CT Scan will most likely be tomorrow sometime. She was taken off the sedation medication around 4am but is still on a breathing machine as she needs help breathing. But from what they tell me, she does seem to be getting better than worse. I am bringing my laptop with me so I will do my best to post new info as it comes in. I will also try to get an address setup for those of you that would like to send flowers and get well wishes. Thank you all for your support so far. Nikki is truly lucky to have so many good friends praying for her.
Nov. 6th, 2005 – 3:15am – I spent the day with friends and talking to doctors and her family. She is currently in stable position which is good. She has had multiple CT Scans and she has swelling in the brain and bleeding in multiple sections of her brain. The fact that she has stayed stable through the first 24 hours … we like to think is a positive. With a head injury like this, it can take up to a week before they know the seriousness of the injury. As time goes on, I will continue to update this page with entires to inform all concerned people. Thank you to all who have been so supportive.
