NEW YORK – Bringing the best stars of porn’s Golden Age to the digital age, Video-X-Pix releases six films from the ’70s and ’80s on DVD for the first time. Steven Morowitz, co-owner of Video-X-Pix said, “Each of these titles are full of the stars who added sparkle to porn’s Golden Age.
There’s at least one AVN Hall of Famer in five of the titles, not to mention the one and the only Ron Jeremy appearing in many of them, as well as names that even casual viewers of adult entertainment will know.” Highlights from the selection of titles includes 1975’s game show-themed comedy Bang Bang, directed by AVN winner Chuck Vincent, shot in 35 mm and featuring AVN Hall of Famer and sexual revolution icon Annie Sprinkle, as well as Brenda Basse, C.J. Laing, Erica Eaton, Jamie Bloom, Jennifer Jordan, Lynn Bishop, Marlene Willoughby and Rebecca Brooke.
Sizzle, a vignette-driven title shot in 1980 by Larry Revene, features four AVN Hall of Famers, including Femme Productions President Candida Royalle, Samantha Fox, Herschel Savage and Jeremy. Christine DeShaffer, Helen Madigan, Josie Jones, Kandi Barbour, Merle Michaels, Veri Knotty, Bobby Astyr and Marc Valentine also star.
Sprinkle also appears in Ecstasy in Blue, another collection of vignettes shot in 1976 directed by Armand Weston, with C.J. Laing, Crystal Sync, Helen Madigan, Terri Hall, Bobby Astyr, Jeffrey Hurst, Marc Stevens and Turk Lyon. Hall of Famer Eric Edwards also appears in Ecstasy in Blue. Hall of Famers Jeremy, Edwards, Fox and Hershel Savage highlight Blonde in Black Silk, shot in 1976 by Philip Drexler, Jr. Arcadia Lake, Erica Matthews, Merle Michaels, Serena and Susan Bell also appear in the title.
Other Golden Age selections available from Video-X-Pix includes 1988’s Right Tool For the Job, featuring Siobhan Hunter in an anal scene, Megan Leigh and AVN winner Krista Lane, with Jeremy highlighting the male cast, and Pink Clam, shot in 1986, featuring Annette Heinz, Nina Preta, Hunter and Vana Paymore as well as Alan Adrian, Bobby Spector and Michael Knight.
