DeeBee not only came to Los Angeles often, he could be found eating at Mateo’s. DeeBee had an interest in Star Distribution LTD which polluted the world with its filth. Before Times Square became Disneyland East it was a Mecca of porn and jack shacks. DeeBee was a brilliant businessman who brought in millions of dollars for the family. While John Gotti may have given the order to kill him, Sammy Gravano [pictured] benefited. Sammy who did not have the intellectual ability that DeeBee had did not take over his interest in porn. Sammy did however profit from DeeBee’s construction interests. So the Gambino’s let the billion dollar California porn biz slip through their fingers.. The families of Sammy’s victims received 50,000 a piece from a wrong death lawsuit brought against Sammy last year. Sammy is now facing murder charges in New Jersey.

There was another Gambino Family associate killed in Orange County in the late 80’s and that man was Big George Yudzavitch. Big George had been a gambino Family Shylock collector for the Gambino’s until he cooperated with the FBI. Big George helped send Gambino Family underboss Joseph “Joe Piney” Armone away. Big George then moved to southern California where he soon fell in with the wrong element in Santa Ana, California. The wrong element would come to included LA Family Capo Mike Rizzi.

Big George who was massive at 6 foot 7 inches tall and over 300 pounds worked as a doorman at the Mustang Club a Santa Ana stripclub. The clubs owner Jimmy Casino was killed in his condo. A man known as Bill Carroll took over operation of the club. Big George sold cocaine to customers and dancers at the club and he was fired. Bill Carroll was a Shylock who also had connections at a bank for loans. After Mike Rizzi shot Bill Carroll in the back of the head, but failed to kill him, Big George told people he helped get rid of the bloody clothes. Big George was staying at an ElToro motel room when he got a call to come get some cash. Who called him? Big George knew he was on the hit parade, so why did he drive out to the Irvine parking lot near John Wayne airport? Did the Gambino Family order his death? Did Mike Rizzi shoot him? Did Carroll kill him? They all had motive.

Joe Piney had friends in LA. Joe Piney had guys in the garment center in downtown LA and he also had Mike Rizzi. Did Mike Kill two birds with one stone? Whacking out Big George helped him with the Gambino’s and got rid of a witness to the Bill Carroll shooting. Did Bill Carroll order the shooting as revenge? How did Fat Bobby Paduano fit in to the murder? Fat Bobby had an office near the parking lot. Well, old secrets become know as time passes. I am sure that someday Big George will not be forgotten.
