Kristi Myst posts on MySpace 12/5/05: As many of you know I broke my leg last Tuesday [November 29]. I went to the doctor today. We were seeing how bad my injury actually is. I was scared my knee was going to need surgery. I was originally told I may have torn my acl and/or my mcl. Well he first twisted and yanked my knee around. Good news is, that the knee isn’t as bad as we first expected. There is still something wrong with it, but it can wait. That is the good news. The BAD news. I am having emergency surgery tomorrow mooring. The fibula bone (leg) snapped at the ankle and tore all my legiments in my ankle. On both sides. So tomorrow I get a nice metal plate and screws in my ankle/leg. So Good news, no surgery needed on the knee (yet) Bad News surgery on the ankle tomorrow. Not sure when I will be on again 🙁 So wish me good luck haha. Wish you all well
Posted on 12/7/: First I would like to thank everyone for your support you guys rule. A special thanks to Gennaro, for staying up with me the night before surgery while my nerves were going crazy, and comforting me. Also to my husband who stayed by my bedside the whole time including now lol.
Yesterday was my surgery. I went in at 730. was suppose be home by 2pm. I guess i had some complications with my breathing. They originally had a face mask for oxygen. Then some time when I was asleep. They stuck something down my throat, my throat hurts like a bitch. Then in the recovery room. my oxygen level was in the 80s. It was suppose to be 95.. I also ended up pucking, when they were about to release me. So they kept for a bit. Then after that right before they released me i started shaking like I was cold, and had a fever. Needless to say I didn’t get to go home till 715pm. Coming home was okay. Coming to bed was even better. I had to wake up and pee at 1amish. That was a mistake.. I felt pain but it was all the blood going to the wound and stuff. Then I laid down back down, pain burring just went at me like a pack of dogs, Started almost screaming, med’s lol. I ll admit This time I did cry.
woke up at 7am. Had to pee. Still pain, no screaming this time. I did need to take my med’s.. I have a lot of flem in my lungs. No good. But over all I am okay. I actually feel the metal plate. which honestly grosses me out. anyhow i am going to try and get some more sleep05:
