Porn Valley- Mike Barbella called me from Scottsdale, Arizona where he had been attending “Pornstock ’06.” Barbella said he was coming down from a magical experience and certainly sounded like it.

“There’s only two things going on here,” he said. “People are buying and people are selling. I see everybody wearing each other’s T-shirts. The competition is wearing each other’s T-shirts. The competition is buying each other drinks. The competition is selling for each other. The buyers are all happily laughing and joyfully playing together. This was an incredible experience here in Arizona in the middle of the desert. I saw one guy- the last time they saw each other- one guy was smashing another guy’s head into a pole. Today he was buying him drinks. Amazing.”

Barbella said the show’s over but there were a few stragglers left.

“We don’t want to let it end,” he said. “We’re all sitting in a circle singing kumbaya, holding hands. But this is truly, truly an event. This is the best show ever was. This was a show where fences were mended, money was made; distributors were holding each others’ hands. It was an amazing event. There was cum-swapping going on. It was incredible. I have never experienced anything like this.”

Barbella said he was driving with a customer yesterday.

“We were going to look at another store- the guy looked over at me and said I think I’m high. I said, bro, it’s Pornstock, just ride the wave. Let it roll. We were all going to get tattoos last night from this event. I even got pulled over by the police. I had seven drunk people in the car. The magic that is, Pornstock, the cop looked at me and said you’d better get out of here, son. That in itself is a miracle because I look at police and jay walk and I do at least a year in jail. There was nothing but love in the air and money in our pockets. And we are all looking forward to the next one. This was run so well and done so well, it was one sale after another back to back to back. Just non-stop. It was Disneyland in the desert. It was a porn oasis. When you see that green grass and the trees way off in the distance? It was that except it was all porn DVD’s surrounded by hundred dollar bills.”
