> Dirty Bob posts on ADT: Since being nominated for an XRCO Award makes pretty good bragging rights for those nominated, I have made an arrangement with the XRCO trophy makers for a version of the trophy for those (and only those – we will check!) who were nominated by the XRCO for ANY year and ANY category. Hey – just being nominated is a big deal, right? I think this is a GREAT idea!
You can see a sample of this trophy here.
For those nominated who wish to purchase one (each is custom-made with the nominee’s name, date, and category) contact Imperial Awards at 310-475-2090. The cost is $25.
Again, each one is custom engraved to order.
> Toxxxic posts on ADT:Metro Interactive/Cal Vista Films Releases DCypher’s WONDERLAND
Metro Interactive is set to ship the new Cal Vista/Metro feature, Wonderland, directed by DCypher, for nationwide availability May 16th.
Wonderland received an AVN Editors Choice, 4 1/2 A’s review, an extensive ad campaign, eye catching cover design (O-ring sleeve over traditionally shrink-wrapped DVD cover) and an industry buzz, all rapidly gaining media attention, both online and in print, propelling pre-sale orders to record heights for the studio.
Wonderland stars Katie Morgan, Violet, Charlie Laine, Candy Summers, Trina Michaels, Steven St. Croix, Evan Stone, Eric Masterson, Hershel Savage, Kris Knight, James Deen and George Kaplan. Wonderland is the story of a man obsessed with his stepdaughter’s friend and will sacrifice everything in his traditional suburban existence for a single moment of ecstasy with the young femme fatale.
Wonderland has garnered the distinction of its own sub-genre within the feature category by one critic, Lit Porn, so-called for all of the literary references seamlessly implemented into the plot structure. It’s a badge the director wears with pride.
“I’m interested in well crafted story lines that engage the viewer,” explains DCypher. “Too many people that make features try to cut out all of the interesting dialogue and cerebral qualities of their show, either because they are afraid to push their performers or because they don’t understand how it operates inside a narrative. My goal is to find the perfect synergy between the two, between the intellect and the heart, without compromising the intensity of the sex. That’s the formula.”
Added Metro Sales VP Christian Mann: “This is by far the biggest release we’ve had in the short time I’ve been with company. As a salesman, my job is made easy by having an ‘event release’ title such as this. There’s a lot of product shipping this week, but there’s only one Wonderland. Our early draws point to a fantastic seller, and I expect the re-orders will be plentiful. DCypher made a great movie and we did a great job with the packaging.”
DCypher(Prisoner)has created seven titles for Cal Vista, all glossy features, all shot in true hi-definition. Wonderland promises to be the next extraordinary title from the versatile visionary.
Ship Date for Wonderland is May 10th.
