Robert Lombard of Creative Image Management writes regarding the “AWESOME” Kaylani Lei:
KAYLANI LEI will be starring in MRG Entertainment’s late night cable feature titled, “Surrender” [working title], which will commence principle photography on Monday May 15th along side Direct Models, TIFFANY TAYLOR as her  Co-Lead. The girls supporting cast includes, adult star, Jenaveve Jolie, mainstream actors, Keith Phillips, Tom Stone and Adam Rush.
I, for one, am extremely pleased that Ms. Lei is back! ……and she looks better then ever!”
Porn Valley- With passing reference as to why she left the adult business, Kaylani Lei was on KSEX Tuesday night announcing that she’s back in LA. Lei was filling in for Taryn Thomas, Steven St. Croix’s normal co-host on The Saint & The Sinner Show. Thomas announced on one of the shows that she’d be taking a break from the business. But Lei was kind of vague on her own plans, indicating that she might pursue some HBO-stuff through Robert Lombard this summer and do some hardcore. If so, it would probably be for Wicked Pictures where she was under contract, she said.
“In some form I’ll be back,” said Lei who used to date St. Croix. Lei left Los Angeles to go to New Zealand to be with a well known rugby player Byron Kelleher but Lei didn’t talk about the status of that relationship other to say she didn’t like New Zealand. Lei had been gone for a year and described that time as her leave of absence. Lei’s last movie was Curse: Eternal for Wicked Pictures, and after she shot the movie for Brad Armstrong, headed overseas. St. Croix who was supposed to have been in the movie described it on the order of The Mummy.
“I haven’t seen it yet but I heard it’s good,” said Lei. “I saw the trailer. It’s out- I’d like to see it.” Having seen the boxcover, St. Croix said customers in a video store would probably mistake it for a B-movie, and St. Croix said he had seen a copy of the script.
“Not to take anything away from people who write these scripts,” St. Croix continued, “I believe it was written by Brad Armstrong- but sometimes because there’s such a rush to get a script done, when they’re doing dialogue for characters, it’s usually not in the kind of language that we kind of speak. They use words from a 1920’s movie.”
Lei agreed with him and said the script was hard in that sense.
“It’s not your typical every day words you use.”
Asked how it was in New Zealand, Lei said she didn’t like it.
“It’s beautiful,” she said. “I learned a lot of different cultures. Their culture’s really amazing and I had a good time with that. Going to some game were pretty fun too, but I didn’t really like it there.” Lei agreed that it was very different from America
“This is small shit but they don’t put their napkins on their laps there,” she pointed out. “They don’t say God bless when you sneeze.”
“Those damn Kiwis!” St. Croix exclaimed. To give an idea where Lei was living, St. Croix noted that Lord of the Rings was shot in the southern part of New Zealand whereas Lei lived in the northern part.
“There’s more city,” she said. Lei noted that she’s been posting on MySpace.
“I’m liking it- I just started,” she said. “I’ve been back for about two and a half weeks and I’ve been on it.” Lei explained that her webmaster Adreana Sage got her on.
“I must have the hottest webmaster out there,” Lei said. Asked what she hoped to accomplish with her postings, Lei said she wasn’t trying to hook up with anyone but to make postings in lieu of a website which is under construction and acquire a fan base to send them over to it once it’s done.
“It’s cool, though,” she said. “I talk shit on it- I love it.”
While she was living in New Zealand, Lei said people would tend to mistake her for Hawaiian.
“I had one lady who thought I was Mexican.” she laughed. “But she was freakin’ nuts.” Lei said she really wasn’t recognized because she doesn’t have a following there. But they know about her now because of her relationship with Kelleher.
“He was very big over there,” she said. “And there was a lot of media on this which was annoying- it put my shit out there. So I got known for that.” Even though, said Lei, she was treated very well because people thought she was so sweet.
Apparently porn stars aren’t supposed to be sweet,” she laughed. On the other hand Lei said people in New Zealand are very reserved towards porn.
“They’re into their sports, they’re into their athletic-thing and eating healthy,” said Lei. “Apparently no one has freaky sex there.”
Lei recalled an instance where her cellphone was stolen and was offered to the press for $100,000 because there were nude pix of herself on it.
According to Lei they sell porn in New Zealand as well. Lei then brought up the fact that St. Croix took a vacation in Costa Rica.
“I like to plan something every six months just to get out of the country,” said St. Croix who does it to recharge his batteries.
“I work a lot in this business and sometime I do get a little worn out and a little blase.” Because he has friends there, St. Croix said it winds up being a cheap vacation. Noting that he goes there a lot, Lei asked St. Croix if he had any Costa Rican chicks stashed away.
“You don’t want to have anything to do with them,” he told her. “Because they are lazy, lazy bitches. They come at you because they know you’re American. Everyone in the world it seems. Everybody wants the American citizenship.” St. Croix said Argentina was the next trip.
“They all have nice asses there,” Lei observed.
Besides New Zealand, Lei said she also got to travel to Europe. Lei said if she goes back to doing hardcore it will most definitely be with Wicked.
“The door is wide open,” she said, stating that she was more than ready to come back to LA. Lei also talked about the softcore projects she had lined up.
“I really enjoy those,” she said. St. Croix related the fact that the vibe on those are different than from hardcore porn.
“Obviously from working in the porn business we get to know individuals that we work with,” St. Croix continued. “We see them day in, day out and have sex with them.”
“There’s no sex here,” said Lei of softcore. “We wear bandaids.”
“They make the girls wear a little bandaid across the slit of their pussies,” St. Croix explained. “The guys wear nylon socks which is really embarrassing. If you’re doing a scene and you’re aroused the next thing you know my dick is holding up a bank. And that’s embarrassing because you’re hard in all its glory but it’s behind a nylon sock.” Lei wondered if the non-porno girls got all freaked out working with him.
“Most of the girls that I’ve worked with in those movies were from porn and weren’t doing it any more,” said St. Croix. “I did movies with Chloe, Shayla LaVeaux…” St. Croix drew a blank at other names but swore he never did one of those movies without a nylon. For her part, Lei said she had to get turned on with all the sensual foreplay involved in one of those scenes.
“How could I not get turned on?” St. Croix agreed with the fact that you tend to get more excited on one of those shoots.
“It’s not a bad thing,” he said. “It’s nothing to be embarrassed about.” More interestingly, St. Croix said he keeps his sock on to keep the mainstream crew more comfortable.
“I don’t want to have the gaffer crying in the back of the truck.” St. Croix also made a confession that there have been instances on porn shoots where the other person wasn’t doing it for him.
“I was struggling to do the pop,” St. Croix told Lei. “And I had to imagine your pretty little brown body flayed out on my bed.” St. Croix also said he’s fantasized about Lei getting fucked by other guys.
“But no animals,” he laughed. “There’s a slutty side to you- I’ve jerked off to your scenes on DVD. And while we were together, too.” St. Croix recalled a scene he did with Lei for Michael Raven where Lei played a hooker. St. Croix recalled having an impulse that he should ask Lei out.
“Trust me- I don’t normally do that.” In her absence, St. Croix told Lei he thought of her, masturbated to her and was now glad to see her in person. St. Croix also observed that Lei had a glow about her and she laughed about being on Acutane.
“Is that a beverage?” he asked. “Can I go out and get a six-pack of Acutane?”
