NYC- The Brazilian beauties in the stable of busted alleged million-dollar madam Andrea Schwartz are still loyal to her.
One woman arrested this week told the cop who collared her she was on her way to run an errand for the boss lady, according to prosecutors.
“I have to put money in Andrea’s account for her protection in jail,” Claudia DeCastro, 26, was quoted as saying.
Schwartz, 31, is being held without bail at Rikers, and she waived her right to appear at a Manhattan Criminal Court hearing.
Outside the courthouse, her lawyer, Wayne Wiseman, suggested he wasn’t surprised that DeCastro intended to make a deposit in his client’s jail comissary account.
“I’m sure she does need some money in jail,” he said. “I’m sure she’s having a miserable experience.”
The gritty lockup is a far cry from the swank West Side condo where Schwartz allegedly ran a high-priced brothel for moneyed men who paid $700 for sex and bought cocaine.
Several undercover cops posed as johns to bust open the operation. Schwartz allegedly showed the cops photos of her hookers, sold them drugs and, in one case, agreed to be part of a $1,500 threesome.
She told one “john” she had raked in $1.5 million since 2001 and was using the profits to pay off the mortgage on her three-bedroom pad at 100 W. 58th St., according to court documents.
Prosecutors said she also was involved in a deal to buy a block of condos in the converted Plaza hotel building, though her lawyer said she was only acting as a translator for Italian investors.
Schwartz, described as an attractive blue-eyed brunette who speaks several languages, allegedly recruited hookers from her homeland for short but lucrative gigs in Manhattan.
Three of them – Marta Nogrega, 37; Minatee Park, 29; and DeCastro – have been arrested.
DeCastro, a lithe blond here on a tourist visa, met with one of the undercover cops on April 27 and agreed to have sex for $800 – half of which she had to turn over to Schwartz, prosecutors said.
The same officer called her this week and asked to meet her at Schwartz’s building, where she was arrested.
“I remember you,” she told the cop, according to Assistant District Attorney Artie McConnell.
