New York City- Vivid girl Savanna Samson was interviewed recently on nypress.com. Calling her New York City’s biggest and only porn star, the interview covers Samson’s interest in ballet and theater and the fact that she’s an opera buff. Asked if she minded it when New York magazine put Jenna Jameson on the cover of a recent issue, Samson, who’s nominated for female Performer of the Year as well as Best Actress, said she didn’t but hastens to correct the rumor about her driving a yellow Ferrari. Samson said she drives a silver Toyota Celica

“It’s been a rush to stardom since the former Scores dancer sent a fan note to European stud Rocco Sifreddi,” says the interview. Samson’s initiative led to the 2000 production of Rocco Meats an American Angel in Paris: “It was supposed to be this foreign thing where I could live out my fantasy and no one would ever know. But-I got porn fever.”

It’s also noted that Samson’s a contributor to the upcoming Regan Books release How to Have a XXX Sex Life: Vivid’s Guide to Passion and Pleasure and will appear in the first issue of Vivid Comix coming out in January.

“[Samson’s] also unique in that she isn’t your typical L.A.-addled porn star making the scene with tattooed rock stars. ‘I went through the whole party thing when I was younger. I’m still wild at heart, but I don’t understand these girls today. They’re on prescription drugs, you know? I was in Miami, and this girl took nine Vicodin. I can understand taking a muscle relaxant for an anal scene, but these girls are going crazy.’ ”

The obvious perk that Samson, a wife and mother, has by living in New York is that she appears regularly on Late Show with David Letterman whenever they need a hot blonde for a sketch.
