HOLLYWOOD, CA- Could Britney Rears 3 go down in history? Apparently the answer is yes as the August 29th release of Britney Rears 3: Britney Gets Shafted will mark the end of a golden era for Hustler Video as the blockbuster release will be the last movie ever distributed in the VHS format by the Larry Flynt owned company.

With the summer season winding down Britney Rears 3 is shaping up to be an incredible blockbuster and the highest profile movie of the year so far for Hustler Video.

“It’s true, Britney Rears 3 will be a huge seller and the very last Hustler movie on VHS,” stated Drew Rosenfeld creative director of Hustler Video.

“Wow, I didn’t even know that they still made VHS tapes,” stated the movie’s super starlet Hillary Scott who plays the role of Britney when asked about being a part of this historic footnote.

“No really, that’s pretty cool that I get to be involved in a trivia question for some porn loving fan a few years from now,” stated the blond XRCO Best New Starlet winner.

VHS once ruled the porn landscape and for those old enough to remember a day without DVD and VOD, this was the preferred method for watching adult movies.

“With every new birth, there is a death and this time VHS is toast,” stated the movie’s director Will Rider. “We’re thrilled that they choose Britney Rears 3 to be the final nail in the coffin.”

“I remember when there was VHS and Beta, and every time a tape was sold you asked the buyer would that be VHS or Beta? You know what else was around then? Larry Flynt. Then Beta died and left behind VHS. You know what else it left? Larry Flynt. Now VHS has died, you know what’s still left? Larry Flynt. God Bless him,” stated veteran director Roy Karch who has paid close attention to every new format introduction and to the rise of popularity of the Britney Rears line. “I just love the entire Britney series because it’s great stuff,” Karch continued.

In fact it was the AVN and XRCO Hall of Fame member Karch who was the first adult director to shoot porn on video tape in 1979. “Now we have hot young new starlet Hillary Scott portraying a rising porn icon Britney Rears and its fun to see that she will represent the death of VHS at Hustler just as her career is exploding,” Karch preached.

“I still love the DVD format because we can cram so much extra footage on it. I mean Britney Rears 3 contains over 4 hours of new footage including the BTS and with the bonus disc freebie of Britney Rears 1 being included in every package, you get 8 hours of total footage on two discs. Do you know what that would look like all crammed onto a single VHS tape? It would look like shit,” commented Rider.
