Big Ben had his protective padding on, but by the time the Jacksonville Jaguars were finished with him and the Pittsburgh Steelers, they were last week’s spinach salad. In the lowest scoring game ever in Monday Night football history, and with every play a bone cruncher, the Jags turned in one of the most physical games you’ll ever witness- unfortunately it was on ESPN and Joe Theisman was announcing.

Here’s some of the bland brilliance Theisman lent to the magnificent canvas that was being painted on the field: “There’s 4 minutes and 13 seconds left- this game is not over.” And this game deserved a much better fate- with John Madden and Al Michaels calling it. Such as it is, the outcome created a stir in the Adultfyi ranks with six merry picksters handing in 13-3 report cards for the weekend.
