Porn Valley- Jason Sechrest, www.jasoncurious.com covered an ample amount of territory when he interviewed Heidi Joy Pike recently on his KSEX show. Pike talked about her career at AVN and before that when she worked for Buttman Magazine.

Pike’s new gig, however, is directing movies for New Machine including a series called “Corrupted”.

“Why them of all the people in the business you could have worked for?” Sechrest wanted to know.

“I was thinking about making a change and they asked me if I would be interested in running their gonzo division,” Pike answered. “I said absolutely. And they said, ‘Can we have you? Yeah. This is really a big deal. We’ll think about it. Okay that would be really great. If anybody knows how to make this work it would be you.’ So I gave notice.”

Sechrest asked Pike what she thought was her greatest accomplishment as far as journalism was concerned.

Pike said it would have to be the cover story she did involving a women retailers round table.

“It was basically all the women who sell this product sitting in a room talking about what it’s like to do that,” said Pike. “It was about business women and how they are treated as people for selling porn.” Sechrest wondered who was one of the worst porn performers or directors Pike had to deal with.

“I always tried to be constructive,” said Pike before she answered the questiuon. “I remember this one gonzo director walking up to me saying, ‘You don’t like my stuff!’ I said I don’t review your stuff, actually because I want to make sure that somebody who really does love it, gets you. That was Jules Jordan who walked up to me with that. My problem is that there were so many people at AVN who loved him and adored him. For me that was awkward then I explained it to him and he sort of got it, I think. But it still was, like, why aren’t you bending over backwards? Because there are other people here who automatically love your stuff and get you. They’re your audience. They never thank you for that.”

In the earlier part of her interview, Pike went on to discuss how her family didn’t back up her career decisions. Then Jason’s mother called to talk to Pike, commiserating with that fact.

“You’re stronger for taking this on yourself,” Jason’s mother declared. “I want to be a surrogate mother for you.” Pike assured her that the situation wasn’t dire.

“People choose what they choose,” said Pike. “It sucks like on holidays and stuff. But for the most part I’d rather have people around who want to be there.” Pike went on to say that she had a boyfriend named Dick Logan.

“He’s a really nice guy.”

Speaking on his own behalf, Sechrest said he’s got a mother who supported him so much, “That if I ever committed murder she would support me. I don’t think there’s anything I could do that my mother wouldn’t back me 100%. of the way on. I have a father who does pretty much believe- and has come around a little bit in the past year- but for many years has pretty much blatantly told me that I’m going to hell for my sexuality and my career.”

For her part, Pike said she puts her energies into real friends and people who love her.

“A real friend will not tell the cops when you kill somebody- a true friend will bring a shovel.”

Sechrest also brought up the fact that Pike started AVNinsider.

“And it’s now a piece of shit,” he commented. “I tried to promote it for you in the beginning by every week we would do the Top Ten list. You had sort of a Letterman Top Ten list and I stole it every week and use it for the show. That’s when I started talking about you constantly, where I was always like, this week’s Top Ten list by crazy, stressed-out Heidi Pike Johnson. I knew you were stressed back then. You could smell toast burning.” Pike said part of it was the job and part of it was her weight.

“I would have chronic headaches and I wasn’t getting any help,” she said. “That makes life worse. Now it’s a lot better.”

Sechrest then brought on Lexi Love and Justine Joli who appear in Pike’s first movie Corrupted by Justine Joli. It was later in the interview that Joli had rash comments to make about Max Hardcore and Rob Black. https://adultfyi.com/read.aspx?ID=18894.
