Porn Valley – After four series, Family Business, a reality show about a porn company run by a Jewish family, appears to have come to an end.

Seymore Butts, aka nice Jewish boy Adam Glasser, has revealed in his Myspace blog that makers Showtime are not looking to commission a fifth series of the popular programme.

According to his blog, the 42-year-old revealed, “Well, it’s almost official…Showtime will not be renewing Family Business for a series five.”

Also known as Porn: A Family Business to British viewers, the series started in 2003, and since then viewers have become accustomed to the LA family and their successful porn empire. The series showed Glasser trying to find a nice Jewish girl, with his mother Lila trying to find his ideal woman.

Other family members include his cousin Steve, as well as his young son Brady.

On his blog, Glasser told fans that he is working on a number of new show ideas which he hopes will take off.

In an interview with Israeli website Ynet in 2005, the Bronx born porn star revealed that his mother had hoped he would become a doctor or a lawyer. “I believe she has given up on that one,” he said.

He further gave details of his background and how be came to be in the porn business. In the 1980s, the family moved to Los Angeles and opened a health club, which didn’t do very well. So he looked at ways to help his family make money, which led to his first dealings with porn.

“One day, a producer of adult films asked if he could make a porno movie, and I stayed to watch him from inside. At the end of the day, the film was finished, everyone had a smile from ear to ear, and cash money in hand. That was when I knew I was in the wrong business.” By the early 90s, he was producing his own videos.

A proficient actor and director, his company makes around 20 new movies each year, as well as running an adult entertainment agency and offers a number of porn websites.
