Although most performers-turned-directors jump in with gusto, Belladonna took some time before she felt comfortable behind the scenes. “I never had a desire to be a director. I was more comfortable as a performer because I’m submissive in general. Plus, I’m an exhibitionist, so it’s more exciting for me when people watch me!”

Belladonna is best known for the scene in which a baseball bat was lodged in her ass. “The first time I did that I was nineteen, and I was in Prague. I don’t know why I did it. I was just doing perverted things all the time, so I thought, ‘I wonder if I could fit one up there.’ Since then, I’ve had fans make custom bats for me!” Is there anything from her past she’d change? “If I could go back, I’d tell myself, ‘You’re great at what you do. You should be more confident.’ Back then I had no idea that I was able to create a brand name out of myself. I had no idea I was a big name.”
