Georgia- Another suspect has been arrested in connection with the alleged Sugarloaf prostitution ring.
On Friday, 56-year-old Alexander Rider of Kennesaw turned himself in to the Gwinnett County Jail. Rider is accused of offering accused prostitute Nicole Probert $600 for sex.
Meanwhile, the woman accused of leading the prostitution ring maintained her innocence, and tryed to dispel myths about her character and lifestyle.
Lisa Taylor — whose stage name is Melissa Wolf — has spent 20 years in the adult entertainment industry, posing in magazines such as Penthouse, appearing in videos and dancing in adult nightclubs.
Here’s what she said about the idea of prostitution in a 1990 interview in Canada.
“Why would I lie down for some guy for $100, when I can make so much more than that standing up?” Taylor asked.
At one point, Taylor worked in northeast Atlanta’s Pink Pony night club. She pointed out, all those activities are legal. She said she hoped to begin a second career in residential real estate, but that is now on hold after her arrest last week on prostitution and racketeering charges.
The 42-year-old Taylor said she now plans to resume dancing. She is booked in night clubs in Ontario, Canada and Detroit next week. She is also in negotiations to dance again in Atlanta.
Taylor said the huge surge in popularity since her arrest has resulted in more than 42,000 hits per day on her website, many more than it can handle.
She said she has worked hard to maintain her lifestyle, and hopes her recent notoriety helps sell her videos and DVDs, and she adamantly disputed claims she charged $10,000 for any activity.
Taylor said she is grateful for all the support she has received from the public and that she plans to speak further to the media next week, along with her attorney, Max Richardson.
