Porn Valley- Doors close. Doors open. With the departure of Tony Batman from its Thursday lineup, KSEX brings back Chef Jeff. When I began re-capping KSEX shows about four years ago, Jeff’s is the program I’d most often dial for the latest in porn nonsense.
If Jeff wasn’t having it out with co-hosts Cytherea or Lisa Sparxxx, there was always some porn chick/stripper bringing her melodrama to the table. Jeff, who currently resides in Phoenix, will be doing a six hour commute to do the latest reincarnation of his show.
I told Jeff I missed the weekly cliffhangers.
“There’s always something entertaining isn’t there?” he says. “That’s the whole point of it- to keep people entertained and to have a good laugh. It’s a good time.” According to Jeff, things happened fairly quickly when Wankus got in touch with him this past weekend.
“He said he’d love to have me back if I was interested- I said of course. I didn’t even think twice about it.” That agreed upon, Wankus wanted to go as early as this evening and Jeff was game for that.
“We threw it together and aren’t making a big deal of it this week,” Jeff concedes, noting that he’s got some slide presentation for the first show from his years past at KSEX.
I got the impression that when Chef Jeff left KSEX he seemed to be over with the idea of Internet radio.
“Everything runs its course,” he states. “Maybe I was burnt out at the time and just needed a break. But being on the air in any way is such a privilege to reach any sort of audience. Just like you, like a writer- to be able to have an effect on people in a positive way and entertain them. So I consider it a real privilege to be on the air broadcasting especially in an uncensored medium where you can say and do pretty much whatever you want. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.”
After KSEX Jeff went over to Elegant Angel as their webmaster.
“I met Patrick Collins throughout the years and finally we chit-chatted,” he continues. “He needed some consultation on what to do with the web and his business which was www.elegantangel.com. I took a look at it and gave my impressions of what could be done to improve it. He finally came out and gave me an offer to come on board and take charge of the whole Internet division which I did for about a year and a half. He really turned it around and got a beautiful website now and beautiful store- that sort of business- I guess he’s looking to expand a little bit more. I was with him for a year and a half. It was great and a great company. Boy, do they shoot some really hot movies.”
Recently, Jeff was named VP of a company called DVD Superstar, www.dvdsuperstar.com.
“I had moved out to Phoenix and was running the Elegant Angel site,” Jeff explains.
“On the side I was running Kinzey Kenner’s website. Through doing business with Kinzey’s site we were looking for somebody that could put the content we were shooting for her site on DVD. I didn’t have the time or the capability to author DVDs and set up a store. I met Scott Franks who is the owner of DVD Superstar and that’s what his company does- he takes content from some of the most popular websites on the Internet and he does the DVDs for them. He’ll author the DVDs. He’ll produce the DVDs. We got our machines here in-house and then we build the stores and build the online orders for all those websites for DVD. The next step is taking it to wholesale. Scott also brought my long time business partner Randy on board as well. We’ve got a nice team going and we just moved into a new warehouse out here. We’re slowing filling it up with inventory and hopefully moving it out the door.”
Jeff would commute to KSEX from Palm Springs. Now he’s even further out.
“It’s funny- when I first started with KSEX I was in Palm Springs,” he notes. “I used to drive once a week, two hours from Palm Springs to LA to do a one-hour show and drive two hours back. And there was a time, there, after my divorce where I just had a motorcycle. I was going on the motorcycle every week from Palm Springs to LA to do those shows. I think that’s pretty good dedication, there. I continued to do that commute until
“I finally moved out to LA. I was living in LA for six months and that made it much easier. Then I was doing The Wanker Show two nights a week- Tuesdays and Thursdays- four hours a week on air. After that is when I left to come to Arizona. So here I am, talk about crazy. Now I’m going to commute six hours to do a one-hour show. That’s got to be definitely unheard of and, hopefully, it’s appreciated by the listeners and management at KSEX.”
With the wholesale part of the business, growing, Jeff imagines that he’ll be spending more time in Los Angeles as it is.
“It probably works out just as well,” he says.
Jeff’s KSEX sidekick will be Karina Kay.
“Wankus was waiting to see if Monica Mayhem was going to stick around,” he says. “I have not met her- but he let me know that she wasn’t coming back. The first person on my list was Karina Kay because I remember her from working at the Elegant Angel office. When I first started with Elegant Angel, she was also working in the office. She had gotten out of the business as a performer for a little while. She’s really spunky. She has a real, upbeat attitude, a crazy girl- I’ve heard some crazy stories about her and her sexual antics. I’ve heard some stories about her in Germany with the Redlight District crew. She’s a very naughty girl, very interesting and I think she’ll make a fabulous co-host. I gave her a call- she said she was real excited about it and wanted it really bad.”
Among his Chef Jeff moments on KSEX, he remembers the squirting challenge between Flower Tushy and Cytherea.
“That won the award for the best show of the year,” he recalls. “It was a great show and there was some great footage. Flower, when she was squirting, had a little accident come out of her behind. There were like 20 people in the studio and nobody noticed it.
“The second one that comes to mind was not on my show,” he continues. “It was on Violet Blue’s show with Johnny Rock where she brought in the Cornish game hen [which everyone took turns fucking]. That was pretty memorable. And then there was the show with Nick Manning with the testosterone being thrown around. Thank God for [the Stonecold Steve Austin lookalike] Splooge sitting there between us because Nick wanted to rip my head off.”
