If you haven’t gathered by now, Ron Jeremy has written a book and it came out today, the title of which is: Ron Jeremy The Hardest Working Man in Porn. It’s published by Harper Collins and Jeremy lends a very light touch to his career in porn with one hundred times the anecdotes found in Jenna Jameson’s book and none of the harsh, rapscallion stabs at humor at the expense of others that seemed to pervade Jerry Butler’s.
In one instance Jeremy talks about the time he shot a movie called Olympic Fever, [available from Arrow Productions, www.xxxdeepthroat.com, directed by Phil Marshak in which Jeremy was cast as a russian spy attempting to sabotage the US swim team. Jeremy, a New Yorker, notes that this was his first trip to the West Coast and packed accordingly expecting sunshine and blue skies. It was April.
Instead of renting a car, Jeremy assumed that he could get around just as easily with a motorcycle and so made the trek from LA airport to the location in Lake Arrowhead, noting that it’s a two and a half hour trip. Because he didn’t have to be on the set until later in the day, his plan was for a long leisurely ride with time for some sight seeing.
Then it started to snow. Jeremy thought this was some sick joke as the snow came down in thick sheets. Wearing nothing but a T-shirt and shorts, Jeremy describes how he was in the early stages of hypothermia.
“I was shivering so violently that I could barely steer my bike,” he recalls. “There were icicles on my mustache.”
According to Jeremy, Marshak converted an abandoned Boy Scout camp into an Olympic training ground. But still and all it was “a fucking barracks.”
The first person Jeremy runs into is Bill Margold, who co-wrote the script, and Margold couldn’t believe that Jeremy rode a motorcycle to the location. Thinking that Jeremy could use some warming up, Margold introduced him to Connie Peterson, a beautiful blond actress with big tits, who stepped into a hot shower with Jeremy and soaped him down.
“When my body temperature finally returned to something resembling normal, she asked if I wanted to fuck,” Jeremy continues. But he didn’t climax, saving it for a scene with Seka later in the day.
Jeremy also notes that Margold took a look at him and burst into laughter stating that he looked like a character in The Wind and the Willows.
“He’s all pink and furry like a little hedgehog,” Margold laughed. And Jeremy ran into the bathroom and checked himself in the mirror.
“He was right,” says Jeremy. “The combination of extreme cold and heat had given my skin a pink hue. And the hairs on my body were standing on end which did sort of resemble the furry bristles of a rodent.”
As Jeremy told Margold to go fuck himself, Margold repeatedly called Jeremy a hedgehog.
“I could only pray that nickname wouldn’t stick,” writes Jeremy. “That’s the kind of thing that could haunt a guy for the rest of his life.”
