(LOS ANGELES, CA) — Ginger Bred Productions announced this afternoon that it will begin shooting its first series, “Ginger Picks,” on Wednesday, July 16th and Thursday, Juily 17th. The movies — produced, hosted and directed by the legendary Ginger Lynn — will feature the top ten female and male “porn star hopefuls,” as voted on by fans at www.gingerpicks.com over the course of the past five months. Contestants will compete in three contests, each for $2,500.00 cash prizes, in addition to shooting sex scenes throughout the week. Each contest (the “Blow Me,” the “Eat Me,” and the “Solo Fuck”) will be judged by the performers themselves and the crew. The grand prize winning female, however, will be chosen by fans online and will become Ginger Bred Productions’ first contract performer.
Aside from her on-camera work as host of the series, Ginger Lynn will be performing with the amateurs, as well. First, Lynn will give the contestants tips before sending them into a closed room to shoot their sex scene with the master camera on a wide shot. Lynn and crew will watch from the monitors and as things get heated between the two, additional cameramen will filter into the room for closeups. “If I really like what I’m watching and it looks like fun, then I will join in with them,” explains Lynn. “If it’s horrible or either one is not doing their part, I will go in and show them how it is done properly or I will replace them – the guy or the girl. If the guy can’t perform, I may end up going in and doing his job.”
Male porn stars Kurt Lockwood, Steve Hatcher, and Chris Cannon will also serve as standbys for each scene, because, as Ginger Lynn so eloquently puts it, “You can’t have a scene without an ending!”
Then on August 1st, www.gingerpicks.com will steadily begin featuring clips of each performer for fans to vote on to determine who will become the first contract girl for Ginger Bred Productions. The winner will be announced just prior to the 2004 AVN Expo and Awards Show. The first installment of the “Ginger Picks” six-part series is tentatively scheduled for an early October release, with a subsequent volume to follow each month.
“I’ve fucked fans before – but never on video. And I certainly never paid a fan for it before,” said Lynn, who plans on three more productions for her new company before the year is out.
