Porn Valley- With EvolutionErotica director Guy Capo on as her guest, Selena Silver made an impeccable impression her first time in front of the mike this week on KSEX. Silver will be helming a new show called The Inside View on Wednesday nights in the 6pm time slot, and, judging by her inaugural, it’s must-hear Internet radio just for her beguiling Aussie accent alone. Silver’s American husband Kent serves as her co-host.

By way of introduction to her audience, Silver noted that she does a pick-of-the-week for Adult DVD Talk. “I pick my favorite porn. I watch everything really. Then I sit down and find the best and do a review.” Silver said she got a knock from someone regarding her opinion of a feature. Based on her comments, the fan bought the DVD and took serious issue with her. According to Silver, he wrote telling her that she sucked and that he wasn’t going to believe anything that she said. “You’re a liar; you’re a horrible person; how could you.” Silver then spun that comment into a topic on various porn genres [features, gonzo, wall-to-wall, etc.]. “Which one is better and is there such a thing as a better format?” Silver asked rhetorically. “Or is it all a matter of taste?”

Silver attempted her own little definitions of each style, wondering which was the best for porn – a question that really defies answering but, nonetheless, makes for good stove league conjecture. For her part, Silver likes vignettes. [My definition: a story-driven sex scene.] Silver said she’s one of the old-fashioned-types who likes a reason for there being sex in the first place. “It makes it more exciting for me.” Silver said she wants to know the characters and why they’re having sex but sees too many cheesy interpretations of the genre, i.e., the venerable pizza man gambit.
