El Paso, Texas- Arrow Productions, www.xxxdeepthroat.com, starts its 35th Anniversary Deep Throat Tour in earnest this week in El Paso, Texas. The first stop for the Arrow Deep Throat roadshow is The Fiesta Drive-In, one of the last operating adult drive-in theaters in the country.
There, movie goers will be treated to an exclusive screening of the restored version of the film Deep Throat. Along with that, the company will be putting the official Deep Throat Corvette on display as well as offering rides on its “Debbie Does Dallas” mechanical bull accompanied by models wearing Debbie Does Dallas attire.
The festivities will take place Friday night, March 23rd starting at 6pm with the film showing at 9pm. The address of the theater is 13800 East Montana, El Paso.
“I think it’s really cool that we’re getting out and going to do these different places,” says Robert Interlandi Arrow’s marketing director.
“The customers can ride the mechanical bull with our spokesmodels and check out the Deep Throat car. This is a pretty big thing. It’s the first time Deep Throat has played in that theater in ten years.” [Mainly because old prints of the movie had just worn out by then.]
According to Interlandi, an owner of one of the adult distribution companies owns the theater.
“He normally plays adult movies and I thought it would be so cool if we cruised over and did a big promotion. They’ve got newspaper advertising and live radio feeds going. And I’m really excited about that. Our next stop after that is in St. Petersburg or what’s now called St. Pete Beach. We’ll be at a store called Don’t Tell Mama. That’s going to be on the 28th and we’ll set up the bull right on the corner. We’ll have a couple of models riding the bull; and for the Spring Breakers I’m bringing a Deep Throat beer bong with a penis on the end.”
After that the next stop is Exotica Miami.
“Then we’re going to hit a couple more places on our way home from Miami,” Interlandi adds. “We will go coast to coast or be deep throating coast to coast. It’s a cool adventure where we can stop and talk to everybody.”
Arrow uses an open trailer to transport the Deep Throat Corvette.
“The last time we drove to LA it was kind of funny,” says Interlandi. “Truckers were pulling up to us to look at the car and honk their horns. Then people would take pictures of us at stop lights. And driving the car is fun, too. That car for some reason everyone wants to look at it like I can’t believe these idiots would detail it like that. One of the coolest things about my job are these road trips. Most people have to sit in an office all day. I get to see the world.”
Interlandi says this trip will also be a treat in the sense that he’s never seen an adult movie played in a drive-in theater.
