Footballsville – You don’t tug on Superman’s cape. You don’t spit in the wind. You don’t pull the mask off the Lone Ranger and Colorado University’s football coach Gary Barnett just learned you don’t goof on a raped place kicker.

For doing what Howard Stern does every minute of the morning Barnett was put on administrative leave last night after he publicly trashed a female placekicker who says she was raped by another player.

Saying there wasn’t “a shred of evidence” to back up Katie Hnida’s rape allegation – leveled in a Sports Illustrated article – Coach Gary Barnett called her an “awful” player who couldn’t compete in “a guy’s sport.”
