Directed by Armstrong with assistant direction by jessica drake, Coming Home is a thoughtful examination of the Iraq War and its impact on both those who serve and the loved ones they leave behind. Brian Parsons (Brad Armstrong) is a well-liked auto mechanic whose past enlistment comes back to haunt him as he receives the call to serve in the Iraq War. His girlfriend Sarah (Kirsten Price) is devastated by the news, but tries to make the most of their time left together.
After a tearful goodbye, Brian leaves for the Middle East, entrusting his best friend Jimmy (Barrett Blade) to watch over Sarah in his absence. As the days stretch into weeks, and the weeks stretch into months, the only connection Brian has to the world he left behind is found in the letters he and Sarah share. But in an ironic and cruel twist of fate, it is a letter that changes all of their lives forever.
