For months The New Bern Star Journal conveniently swept the Greg Sakas Pure Bliss bust story under the rug. Now it’s starting to cover the story.
New Bern, North Carolina- A court hearing for the owner and two employees of a New Bern adult business has been postponed until Oct. 23.
The hearing had been scheduled for Friday in Craven County District Court.
Gregory Arthur Sakas, the owner of Pure Bliss adult store on Neuse Boulevard, was charged in January with operating more than one adult business under one roof.
Robert Paul Weber and Linwood Earl O’Neal, employees of the store, also face charges.
The charges followed a January raid of the store by New Bern police.
Police raided the adult store a second time Sept. 12. [It was September 11.]
After that raid, Sakas was charged with maintaining a multi-adult establishment and selling a controlled substance.
Store manager Michael Squires was charged with two counts of operating a multi-adult establishment, two counts of possession of a toxic substance and two counts of selling a toxic substance.
A judge will hear all of the charges Oct. 23, according to Craven County District Attorney Scott Thomas.
