New York- Howard Stern this morning announced on his radio show that it’s Senator Sam Brownback, a Republican from Kansas who’s spearheading his ouster and has written a letter to Stern’s bosses to that effect. Brownback, a member of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee and the Communications Subcommittee has introduced S. 2056, the Broadcast Decency Enforcement Act of 2004, in the U.S. Senate aimed at broadcasters like Stern.

Friday morning Stern made some chilling revelations about Brownback’s religious affiliations. Stern described Brownback as a very conservative right wing guy who’s back Bush’s initiative on banning gay marriages. “But what you don’t know,” Stern continued, “is that Sen. Brownback lives with six members of Congress in a $1 Million Capitol Hill townhouse that is subsidized by a secret religious organization.”

Stern said he was quoting from the Associated Press and wasn’t making the story up. “If I was making it up I’d be in big trouble, believe me.” Stern said all the lawmakers living in that house fit the same profile. “Anyone have a problem with a U.S. Senator being funded by a religious organization?” Stern asked. “When someone gives you low cost housing- a gift, you think you have to answer to them? You tell me.”

Brownback, according to Stern, has stated there’s no reason to disclose the information. “There’s no reason to be alarmed.” Stern said the group behind Brownback is called The Fellowship. “I say this because I fear for my safety because of this. The Fellowship is a host of receptions, luncheons and prayer meetings. They rent to six lawmakers at $600 a month. The goals of this group are kept in private. They will not reveal their goals,” Stern went on to say.

According to Stern, the goals of The Fellowship is to assist lawmakers in the better understanding of the teachings of Christ. “You think this guy is nuts? The guy who wrote my boss [Mel Karmazin]. When one of his employees was leaving he got down on his knees and washed the employee’s feet like Jesus did. These guys are out of control. They’re washing each other’s feet. They’re in Congress and in the Senate. It’s like if the Scientologists took over. Maybe worse.”

Stern said the townhouse is owned by The Fellowhip. “They have bible studies and they’re subsidized. Very few in The Fellowship are willing to talk about its mission. It organizes the annual National Prayer Breakfast attended by the President and members of Congress. The group leaves its name off the program. Why? Why don’t they want you to know this?”

Stern, who’s been repeating the prediction all week, said his days are over. “This is what’s going on in your country. I will be the acrifical lamb. I will be thrown off the air.”

Stern said his inside sources at the FCC have told him that he’s going to be fined for a three year-old conversation on his station. “They had to go back three years to find something,” Stern continued. “I will never be given my day in court. I will never be given a chance to work in this country. It’s the goddamned truth and I hate to say it. Just wake up and see what’s going on. Don’t believe that this isn’t true. There is a nightmare going on. I’m about to be served up with my head on a platter. Because all I wanted to do was make people laugh. And journalists and people in the media are laughing at me because they think this isn’t going to affect them. Trust me. When The Fellowship finds out that you write an article about Bush, they’ll be watching YOU. Everyone’s having a good laugh but there’s got to be a payback. And I’m running out of time.”

Stern urged his listeners to vote Bush out of office.
