I heard from a source that Derek Hay has offered Direct Models for sale to Gold Star Modeling owner Joel Lawrence. Gold Star is Direct’s biggest competitor. Would this merger create a near monopoly for the agencies?

Also Posted: It is starting to look like Derek Hay (aka Ben English) of LA Direct Models has more connection to Michelle Braun (aka Nici of NicisGirls) than he would have liked you to think. Things have allegedly gotten so hot after Braun’s arrest last month that the situation is approaching boiling point at the Direct offices. Kevin Kline, one of the agents at Direct (and Kelly Kline’s husband) thought things got to hot, and is laying low back home in North Carolina.

One source tells me the FBI has already raided Direct’s offices.

Another source tells me that Derek is trying to peddle his ownership in Direct Models and get out of town before everything comes crashing down.

I asked Derek for comment earlier this week, but he did not respond.

Ben English and/or Derek Hay from what I understand used to frown upon ANY of “his” models doing any sort of POV type shoots in and around the “valley”. Now I may be wrong but that’s how I had heard it. Now the reason why was because it was too much like a so called “private”.
