Porn Valley- Dressed for a duck hunt, director/performer Manuel Ferrara was a guest on the most recent edition of KSEX’s Fuck Soup, co-hosted by Jason Sinclair, Peter Warren and Roxy DeVille.

Besides directing for Evil Angel, Ferrara’s also been shooting Internet scenes these days for Icy Porn and said there was a difference between the two styles, where Evil Angel allows him to move out of the box more.

Earlier, DeVille had solicited debate as to whether Fran Drescher appeared in a porn film. In a clip she played, the actress in question wasn’t Drescher- it was a scene from Love Hedonism 2: Seka’s Fantasies with Don Dart/Mike Horner playing Superman who goes down on Seka. But DeVille claims Internet chatter suggests Drescher was the second girl in the scene.

Drescher is not, although she’s appeared in softcore fluff such as Rosebud Beach Hotel.

With Ferrara being introduced, DeVille thought anything he said sounded brilliant with his French accent. Asked what he’s been up to, Ferrara comments, “My life’s pretty boring- I just fuck every day.”

Ferrara who just shot a movie titled The Jenny Hendrix Anal Experience [which is coming out in December] said Hendrix was really into fucking.

According to Ferrara, the plot’s about a girl who doesn’t want anal sex with her boyfriend; but, upon discovery of him being in a DVD fucking other girls in the ass, prompts her to make one as well. It was noted that Hendrix’s D.P. with Steve Holmes and Ian Scott is particularly explosive.

Sinclair felt that Ferrara’s stuff was cool, creative and different from anything out there. Although Ferrara admits there are some days when the ideas just don’t come. Neither does he shoot to be rich but because he likes to do it.

According to Ferrara, what turns him on is the fact that he’d like to jerk off to a movie before there’s any sex involved. And that’s what he goes for in his.

“That makes it better,” he says. “I want people to buy my movies and be happy.”

Ferrara tends to shoot the kinds of scenes he wants to watch but doesn’t jerk off to any of his own movies. He likes, particularly, to jerk off to feet. Ferrara, who never thought he’d be a porn guy, comments that if there’s an award given out for the biggest jerk off, it would have to be him. According to Ferrara, he’ll work two times a day and still have the capacity to squeeze one off in the mornings and evenings. Another thing he finds amusing is the fact that he gets to work with performers he used to rub them out to, such as Nina Hartley.

And on the subject of awards, Ferrara thought while they’re great, people tend to hate you for winning them particularly “the motherfucker who doesn’t speak English”.

Tommy Gunn was quoted as saying how winning awards pushed him away from a lot of people and Ferrara tends to agree.

“AVN’s great,” says Ferrara. “I’m so happy to give them money. You win, you lose, you go have a drink either way.” Ferrara said another thing about awards is that “ass-kissing pieces of shit” are nice to your face then talk behind your back.

Sinclair told a story of how one performer carries his AVN award around with him wherever he goes. Ferrara also said he’d like to hear Brad Armstrong comment about how he wins a vast number of awards for “crappy movies”.

“Those people are probably waiting for Spielberg to call but it’s not happening,” Ferrara adds, saying that when he watches a porn flick he wants to see something perverted. Ferrara also wondered if Armstrong was ever in the army to make something Coming Home. On the other hand, he liked Operation Desert Stormy because Stormy Daniels went for something funny.

Asked what his favorite thing is about a woman’s ass, Ferrara likes them round and against his face.

“I love smothering,” he states. “I’m not a submissive but I love it.”

Ferrara also talked about how he focuses on his female partner in a scene.

“I like to find girls who are driven by the sex, not the money,” he adds.

Ferrara’s been in the business 10 years, five of which were spent in Europe. He studied to be a P.E. teacher and worked his way through school by appearing in old, fat lady gangbangs for 80 bucks.

“I was happy just fucking,” he recalls.

Ferrara first came to the United States to appear in John Stagliano’s original Fashionistas and has appeared in all three.

Sinclair wanted to put Ferrara in his top three list of performers to include Rocco and Nacho Vidal. Asked what process he goes through to achieve the intensity in his scenes, Ferrara says, “If a girl feels you’re into it she’ll respond. It’s making love. It doesn’t matter if you slap her- it’s making love.”

Ferrara adds that what makes a good performance is sensing what your partner’s into.

And Ferrara laughs about how he’s always distracting himself to keep from popping too soon. Ferrara’s asked where he learned his technique for making movies.

“By watching Jerry Lewis movies,” he laughs. “I’m French.”
