WWW [press release]- New Frontier Media, a leader in the production and distribution of adult-themed and general motion picture entertainment, today announced the launch of its PenthouseTV Video-on-Demand service to nearly nine million U.S. cable TV homes and, separately, the launch of its PenthouseHD High Definition VOD service to cable TV systems serving more than two million U.S. homes.

These launches will be supported with consumer print advertising beginning in February 2008.

“Just 90 days after our execution of a contract with Penthouse, we have successfully deployed this content to a significant footprint in the United States,” said Ken Boenish, President of New Frontier Media.

“Our distribution of this content in high definition is a first for adult VOD. We expect additional Penthouse VOD launches in both standard definition and high definition television over the coming months.”

Immediately upon execution of New Frontier Media’s contract with Penthouse, the company began to productize and market Penthouse products to its distribution partners. This work included primary research demonstrating the advantages of Penthouse versus competitive products. New Frontier is working diligently on the launch of a Penthouse linear TV channel and expects carriage of this service within the next 18 months.
