Florida- Slight overreaction or act of a monster? Those seem to be the differing points of view of Florida real estate broker Jon Deluzio and his ex-girlfriend, of whom Deluzio sent naked pictures to co-workers and her fiancé’s friends, FloridaToday.com reports.

Deluzio’s attorney says he just wanted his ex to pay the $5,000 she owed him for a failed real estate deal. Deluzio’s ex-girlfriend says the acts were professionally and personally devastating to her life.

In February Deluzio gave his ex-girlfriend, with whom he had broken up six months earlier, the money she needed to finish paying off a house note, which he claimed he would make back after the house was sold.

However, four days later, Deluzio sent a letter saying he wanted to terminate the contract. That’s when the trouble began, his ex-girlfriend, whose name is not being released, told FloridaToday.com.

When she did not respond to letters from Deluzio demanding she pay him back, Deluzio sent a nude photo he had snapped of her getting out of the shower– which he claimed he had destroyed– to her employer and to her fiancé’s friends.

Deluzio, 47, pleaded no contest to extortion. He will serve three years probation, undergo a mental evaluation, comply with any recommended treatment, and perform 200 hours of community service. He also will pay $350 in investigative costs and a yet-to-be-determined amount of restitution, FloridaToday.com reports.

“Love makes you do crazy things, love makes you do stupid things and occasionally love makes you do illegal things,” Deluzio’s attorney, Mark Gager, told FloridaToday.com. “It was a disgruntled (ex-) boyfriend overreacting and not realizing what he was doing was illegal.”
