What have we been saying? What have we been saying? Tara Reid’s the one who should be playing Jenna Jameson in a biopic. Now she’s being mistaken for her.

LOS ANGELES — It seems itty-bitty party girl Tara Reid could do with a good dose of “American Pie.”

Sporting a somewhat scary skeletal swimsuit style in Bali last week, Reid resembled adult star Jenna Jameson so much so that some tourists stopped in hope of getting some X-rated snaps.

“She’s so tiny now that nobody really realized it was Tara,” an eyewitness at a Bali hotel told Pop Tarts. “She was by the pool when a group of American tourists started buzzing that it was Jenna, but naturally Tara kept on walking.”

But could Reid’s boney bod be bordering on dangerous?

According to the U.K. newspaper The Sun, the screen star collapsed on the Indonesian island last weekend and was taken to the hospital, but later released.

And although Ms. Jameson’s career in flesh-flashing flicks was the real deal, Tara’s is just pretend.

On a media blitz Down Under to earn quick Christmas cash, Reid was paid to be a “prostitute” for one night as the host of a Hooker Ball in Darwin (and ironically enough, organizers advertised her as an “A-lister”).

Reid has actually taken on a number of not so A-list jobs of late, such as shooting commercials for a sleepwear firm and a cut-price telecommunications company.

But would she ever really follow in the footsteps of her look-alike and pop a porn flick or two?

“A few years ago I would have said no way, because she was at the height of Hollywood and could have gone on to such big things,” an insider who previously worked with Reid told Pop Tarts.

“Unlike a lot of young actresses today, Tara was very talented, but she gave into the wild side of Hollywood. With regard to the projects she chooses, nothing would surprise me.”

But in the middle of her “high-end” duties, Tara reportedly made time to make out with the ex of an “Angel.”
