Los Angeles- Promoting the fact that she’s on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, Mary Carey appeared on the Adam Carolla show Wednesday morning.

Carolla was saying that Dr. Drew’s wife was “a delight”.

“Someone ought to stuff her in Celebrity Rehab,” remarked Carolla hinting that Dr. Drew was pussy-whipped.

“I love Dr. Drew, and he’s really hot for a doctor,” added Carey. Carolla talked about how a couple of weeks ago he went out with Dr. Drew and his wife; and when Carey’s name came up in conversation Dr. Drew’s wife asked, “who’s that?”

“I was about to answer but my wife was sitting next to me,” mused Carolla.

It was mentioned that Jeff Conaway had been on the day before and talked about how Daniel Baldwin was being a “father figure” to Carey on the show and got “inappropriate and flirty”.

Carey thought that Baldwin was being more of a father figure to Jessica Sierra.

“They were starting a father-daughter relationship,” said Carey. “But then he started having a bit of a different relationship with me. He got flirty, and coming up the next episode people will see some of that happening. Daniel and I had extra cellphones.”

Carey said you weren’t supposed to have your cellphone more than an hour a day, but she had a second one brought in to her and that Baldwin had an extra one taped under a sink and they were communicating at night.

Carolla noted that by Carey bringing a steamer trunk full of strap-ons she was sending a message to the other guys that she was open for business. Carey said she brought those for herself wondering three weeks from now what she was going to do.

Carolla said in his conversation with Dr. Drew, he was told that Carey was quite a substantial person- classically trained as a ballerina and went to prep schools.

“He was impressed with your background but said you had a lot of tragedy as well.”

Carey said her real tragedy began at birth. Her father has cerebral palsy, and her mother is schizophrenic, bipolar and slightly retarded.

“My grandparents raised me from three months on,” she continued. “Then they moved me to Florida and I never saw my dad from seven on. They did a great job raising me. They put me in an excellent private preparatory school and I did classical ballet.”

Carey had scholarships from her dancing. At sixteen her grandfather died from lung cancer and her grandmother developed severe Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

“My last couple of years I took care of my grandmother. My mom lived on her own for the first time with government aid.”

According to Carey, she wound up treating her mother more like a sister. But at an early age she used to be very embarrassed of her.

“So I never talked to her much.”

When she had friends come over, Carey would tell her mother to stay in her room and not come out until they left. Describing his own parents as “functionally retarded,” Carolla said he could understand.

Carey went on to recap her family story noting that she spent her first year of college taking care of her grandmother. When her grandmother got worse she transferred to another college. Because most of her grandmother’s money went to her college expenses, Carey said she had to come up with another means to pay for school.

“But I decided to become a stripper,” she comments. Carey wound up quitting ballet at age 19 when she hurt her ankle. Carey then went on to describe how guys from school took her to the Pure Platinum strip club in Ft. Lauderdale and urged her to enter an amateur contest.

“I won $500- I had a big crowd of people to cheer. The club was full nude.”

Carey was later kicked off the school dance team when it was discovered she worked at the club.

Asked how she got into porn, Carey said she’d listen to Howard Stern, especially when he had Jenna Jameson on.

“It looked like good money so I sent some pictures to LA and see what happens,” she said. Carey also sent pictures to a company that made softcore movies.

“It was Playboy- they told me to come out here and audition, so I did. Then Playboy put me on Sexy Urban Legends and a Playboy.com shoot.”

Johnny Creepy, a strip club deejay, then called in.

According to Johnny you’ve got all these women under one roof with different drama.

“One’s dog ran away; the other’s drunk, high, got her car keyed up. It’s crazy.”

Johnny mentioned that he worked at [Brick Major’s club] Exposed on Canoga and Roscoe.

Carolla suspected it was probably a former film processing place that went out of business.

“And they just left the sign up.”

“This club has more chaos than any one you’ve ever been to,” Johnny continued. “And the reason is it’s right next door to a full bar. Same owner. There used to be a door in between but that got out of hand. Now you just have to walk about twenty paces. You can get hammered at the bikini bar.”

Carey said when she got to LA she began doing porn and started running for governor within six months of doing porn.

“I went to a casting over at Playboy- I did all that stuff- while I was waiting to hear from Playboy I went over and worked for Hustler. I did only girl-girl movies for the first six months. I did Cinemax movies. Then I signed a contract with Kick Ass Pictures and did my first boy-girl movie. The owner [Mark Kulkis] of that company told me I should run for governor. I said okay.”

Carolla surmised that he probably said that to every porn performer who came through the door. Carolla wondered why Kulkis would suggest this to Carey.

“He used to be a big publicist,” she answered. “He said it would be good publicity because you’re just starting out in the business. He helped me get it altogether.”

Carolla seemed surprised that Carey actually got on the ballot.

“I came in tenth of a 132 candidates,” she explained. “Gary Coleman came in ninth.”

As Carey started her campaign for governor, her grandmother died.

“That was kind of difficult- I also got married.” Carey said she knew the guy a week and had to marry him because he was stationed in Germany.

“That was the only way I could get on the army base. We divorced right after my grandmother died.”

Carey hadn’t heard from her father since the age of seven and was told by her mother he died when she was 16 but that wasn’t true.

“But checking my fan e-mail I got a letter signed Richard Cook,” she continued. “He was saying he was my dad and attached pictures of me and him. He told me I had an Aunt Sheila. My mom confirmed it and I went to see him.”

Carey explained that her father worked in a bowling alley in Ohio and that her father talked with a palsy mumble.

“He calls me all the time.”

At the urging of Carey, Carolla said he’d call.

Asked how her father and her mother hooked up, Carey said it was in a mental institution.

“My mom used to get electric shock therapy- I’m not sure how they actually met.”

Calling him “retarded,” Carolla suspected that Carey’s father in his condition was probably happier working in a bowling alley, spraying the insides of shoes.

“That would make smart guys insane.”

It was also brought up that Carey’s mother jumped off a four-story building back in September. She’s had something like 11 surgeriues subsequent to that accident.

“I got a call and I was barely awake,” said Carey. “My mother had jumped and was in critical condition. She didn’t take her schizophrenia medicine for about a week. She thought the CIA was after her and she was being framed for murder.”

It was mentioned that Carey was friends with Jessica Sierra who was also on the reality show. Carey said she’s talked to Sierra since her altercations with police.

“She’s back at the Pasadena recovery center where we shot the show,” noted Carey. “They gave her the whole wing we lived in to herself. She’s the local celebrity in the rehab.”

Carey said the show taped for something like 19 days. And Carolla assumed she was clean and sober, but Carey said she was about 80% better and had been weaned off of Xanax.

“It wasn’t just the alcohol,” said Carey. “I used to take about two and half bars of Xanax every day for two and a half years. I used to drink a bottle of vodka.”

Carey admitted she was a non-stop imbiber and, when asked, said a lot of porn stars took Xanax.

Carolla then got Carey’s father on the phone. He was with his girlfriend Jenny who pretty much spoke for him. According to Jenny, Carey’s father just bought a house and got a deal to make $400 a month payments. She said he just signed up for food stamps. Jenny explained how they met.

“He thought I was going to be hit by a bus when I was 15- after the years I kept talking to him because I like to talk.”

Jenny was asked if she had a disability. Jenny, who works as a security guard, said people told her she was compulsive but didn’t know if it was technically true or not. Carolla imagined there were other perks they enjoyed such as free bowling. Carey’s father apparently carries a 204 average and has bowled a couple of 300 games. Carey averages around 125 and used to bowl in a league when she was a young teen.

“I won junior Miss Florida bowler.”

Asked if he knew what Carey does for a living, he commented, “she does what she wants.”

And he hasn’t seen the show because he watches too much wrestling, according to Jenny.
