Porn Valley- The word had gone out from the top that KSEX was doing re-runs Thursday and Friday.
But no sooner did that happen, that show hosts, such as Baadmaster, started complaining that they had guests lined up, so a last minute decision was made to air.
Which leads to the fact that Gary Garver has entered the KSEX sweepstakes -a story that’s becoming more and more like Zero Mostel in The Producers.
On his KSEX show Thursday night, Garver announced that he was looking to buy KSEX. Remember that big announcement before the AEE show that Vavoom was buying the station? Didn’t happen. And I’m hearing the story two ways as to why.
One was that Vavoom had no real intention of buying but was looking for some quick publicity. The other story is that Vavoom got a look at the books and said thanks but no thanks.
Which means Garver and his money man, Dr. Peter, a plastic surgeon, will also get a look at them and get the secret Belinmkie handshake. Now remember, Dr. Peter was the same money man who was instrumental in Garver tanking on the Tanc-TV deal. Or at least Garver was heard to blame him for it. [I was there during that phone conversation.]
And wasn’t it also Garver who told PrimeTimeUncensored his reason for leaving that station was that there was too much porn involved? [Which was overstating the case]. So what could Garver possibly be thinking this time around? The guess is that he’ll use KSEX as a portal to push his bigger project- Escape TV.
In this deal, Garver’s being assured that there’s something like 7,000 hours of content, most of which is on VHS tape, however, and unusable.
Garver’s show is also being expanded to run 5 pm to 7 pm on Thursdays. That happens February 7th regardless of assurances Baadmaster’s been given that it won’t affect him. Though how could it not? His show runs in the 6 pm to 8 pm time slot. Sounds Like Zero Mostel again.
Regarding the Brandon Iron joining KSEX item that appeared on Adultfyi, word is being put out by KSEX boss Jon Belinkie that it was my “trash column” that made up that whole story.
Well someone may have made it up, but it wasn’t me. I cut and paste that item from XPT where, magically, that story has vanished off the face of the earth. Was it a goof? A setup? Who knows, and it wouldn’t be the first time that XPT pulled an amusing con job.
But it certainly got Jack Lawrence- who would have been affected- asking questions.
Lawrence, like Baadmaster, was also assured he had nothing to be concerned about and that his show with Sunny Lane would operate as normal.
And part of that mysterious e-mail that went to Lorrainiac was Porno Dan taking credit for the infomercial idea by sponsor-branding all the shows.
As an added note: more porn jocks will be leaving KSEX next week. Names have already been named. If all this is true, at least five more people will be making announcements of their departure.
